‘How is this legal?’ He bought four Olivia Rodrigo tickets, then noticed Ticketmaster had allegedly canceled them without explanation
Nobody at Ticketmaster could even tell him why

A man who purchased four tickets to see Olivia Rodrigo claimed that Ticketmaster initially canceled them without giving any explanation, leaving him with no choice but to air his grievances on TikTok in hopes that the ticket sales company would see his video. Thankfully, Ticketmaster did see his video, and he claims he was later told his tickets were canceled for “bot activity.”
“Ticketmaster stole my tickets AFTER I paid and won’t give them back,” TikToker Seane Denn claimed in a minute-long video. “Put a finger down if Ticketmaster stole your floor tickets to Olivia Rodrigo in Philadelphia after you had already bought them,” Sean said in his video.
He claimed that when he went to check his tickets mere weeks before the show, he noticed “a small canceled sign.” Seane said that he didn’t know that the tickets had been canceled and began “frantically checking” his emails. However, he claimed there was no correspondence from Ticketmaster confirming that the tickets were canceled.
Seane also shared a screenshot of his purchase, showing that he had spent just shy of $1,000 for the four tickets and claimed he hadn’t been refunded. One TikTok commenter claimed that much money “is enough for me to go to court over.”
After calling the company, Seane was no nearer to learning why he no longer had tickets, as he claimed that the person he spoke to on the phone didn’t know either. All he was told was that he had “violated the terms of service,” although he said Ticketmaster weren’t able to explain further or tell him what terms he had violated.
“Please explain to me why you canceled my Olivia Rodrigo floor tickets without any notice,” Seane said in a message directed towards Ticketmaster.
Ticketmaster responds
Seane’s video made it to the right people, as he later received a call from Ticketmaster and he was given an explanation as to why his tickets had been canceled. According to him, his account “had been flagged for bot activity.” He claimed he had used a credit card belonging to someone attending the concert, but the shipping address didn’t match the card address.
“They said they sent an email back in May for me to appeal it,” Sean said, but claimed he never received such an email. “Obviously I would have appealed it if I had gotten that email.”
Thankfully, Ticketmaster did return the tickets, and Seane claimed that all four had even been comped.
However, Seane was still critical of the company, saying, “It sucks that it even had to get to this point.” Commenters also chimed in, adding that “some people aren’t so lucky,” as they don’t have a platform where they can publicly call out companies. Others were critical of Ticketmaster’s monopoly as a ticket-selling platform.
