Nashville Teen Was Invited to a Sleepover. They Took Her to a Den with a Swastika: ‘They Set Me Up.’
This could have been a Dateline episode.

Nashville teen Cydney Motal (@cydneymotal) has released a disturbing TikTok in which she details her experience of being tricked into a seriously sketchy situation.
Motal says she was bullied in high school, but thought things might be improving when two cheerleaders (who she codenamed Allie and Daisy) invited her to a sleepover. She says she thought she was finally making friends with the cool kids.
“I was ecstatic, beside myself,” Motal recalled. When her mother picked her up, Motal told her all about what had just happened. She said she also started begging her mother to let her go to the sleepover. But her mother was suspicious of Allie and Daisy’s intentions.
Her mother didn’t want her to go
“No, I think they’re going to do something mean to you,” her mother said. Motal insisted that Allie and Daisy were finally going to be her friends, so she kept asking her mother to let her go to the sleepover. Her mother reluctantly agreed, even though she also didn’t like Allie’s mother.
When she got to the house on a Friday night, the two girls told Motal that they were now going to a party rather than a sleepover. Some kids would simply prefer to stun their bullies into silence, just like this girl did for a bit of peace. But being invited to an event or a gathering can come across as a form of acceptance.
“I thought I was living that ‘she’s all that’ high school dream,” Motal said. She said that she got on the minivan, and Allie’s mother allegedly drove the girls to the party. When they walked into the house, Motal made a disturbing realization.
“This is not a party. We are in a meth den, and there are two grown, white men in this house,” Motal recalled. She described the home’s state as being in disarray, the flooring was ripped up, and she could see drugs lying around. Around 20 minutes had passed when Ally excused herself to the bathroom.
“As I’m going into the bathroom, I can see into one of the rooms, and there’s a swastika flag in the room,” Motal stated. She said that seeing the symbol around the area was “common.” Nevertheless, she still went into the bathroom and took a moment because the toilet wouldn’t flush.
But by the time she went out, Motal said that Allie and Daisy were gone. When she asked them where her friends were, one of the men responded without sparing her a glance that they’d left. Motal ran out the front door, where she said she saw the minivan taking off without her.
“She dropped us off, circled the block, and waited for them to text her… They left me there,” Motal alleged. She tried calling them, but Motal alleged that they blocked her number. Motal said she had no choice but to borrow one of the men’s phones to contact the girls. They blocked his number too.
“He was disgusted when he realized you were Black,”
“I was so afraid of my mom. If my mom picks me up here, she’s calling the police,” she said. As a young girl, Motal thought it would be a world-ending situation if the cops got involved. In a twist, she called her school bully, Annessa, for help. Motal asked if she could come over to Annessa’s house, explaining that she needed to be somewhere safe to be picked up by her mother.
“I was genuinely traumatized from what just happened,” Motal said. Annessa agreed, and although they had a contentious relationship, she supposedly greeted Motal with concern. She let her stay there, and Motal recalled passing out on the floor.
By 5:30 a.m. of the next day, Motal texted her mother to come pick her up at Annessa’s house. Motal’s mother was furious, and she suspected that something wrong had happened. Nevertheless, Motal kept it all a secret.
When Motal got back to school, she alleged that Allie threw her things at her. Then, Allie revealed that they intended to leave her at the den as one of the men, ‘Kyle,’ wanted her for the night.
“Kyle really wanted to hook up with you, but he was disgusted when he realized you were Black,” Allie supposedly spat. That’s when Motal realized that they’d set her up.
“They were trying to commit crimes against me. It wasn’t just ‘mean words as kids.’ They were trying to make me a Dateline episode,” Motal said, looking back in hindsight. She concluded that she probably would have been in a true crime episode, like this woman who used her wits to escape a pursuit in the woods.
