Scarier than a horror story.

Michigan Man’s Daughter Heard a Voice From the Bathroom of Their New Home. He Found Something That Sent Chills Down His Spine.

Moving into a new home is usually some combination of exciting and stressful. But when Kameron Wagner (@ncmidad8) from Michigan moved into a new rental apartment with his daughter, Miley, he found something “creepy” that would send chills down any parent’s spine.

“Why did you try to scare me?” Wagner told TikTok that his daughter came forward to him with that question. She claimed that she heard her father say, “Miley, come here,” to her from the bathroom late at night. Confused, he told her that it wasn’t him.

“Are you sure you weren’t sleeping?” After all, she could have had a strange dream, but Miley denied having been asleep. She further explained that she checked the bathroom, but didn’t see her father there. Choosing to believe his daughter, Wagner told her to wake him up if anything like that happens again.

The next night, his daughter asked to sleep next to him. He reassured her, saying that she could sleep next to him anytime she needed to. It’s not unusual for children to feel unsettled during the first few days of sleeping in a new house. Even this woman from Connecticut had trouble sleeping after she made a strange discovery in her new home. But upon inspecting his apartment early in the morning, Wagner found something in his daughter’s closet that made the hairs on the back of his neck stand on end.

Someone else might be home

“I don’t get startled, or I don’t get spooked… The hair on my neck rose up,” Wagner stated. He panned the camera to the back of an empty closet. The panel was cracked on the edges, as though it could be removed. Then, he showed two black holes drilled in the panel.

“Why does that look like peepholes?” Wagner described. But the holes were not too small—he could insert his fingers, grip the wall, and push the panel off. Wagner says he feels watched and wants to move out, but he can’t because he just placed a $3,000 deposit to rent the place.

To get to the bottom of the issue, Wagner decided to smash the panel and see what was behind it. He found a light that could be turned on with a drawstring, as well as an air conditioner unit with a heater. He also found a walkway with another access point. Wagner found no other person, but he did get more information from another neighbor who warned him about the previous tenant.

They moved in, then moved out just as quickly

“There’s a girl that lived there. For two months, I’ve seen her twice, and then she left… She was here for two nights,” the neighbor supposedly told Wagner. They also said that the woman didn’t explain why she was leaving so abruptly.

“I hear weird stuff, I have dreams that I never have,” Wagner said. He also believes that there might be “paranormal activity” going on. In the following nights, he also heard noises and noticed things being moved around in the apartment. Social media commenters pointed out that there may be a squatter lurking in the apartment. Others told Wagner to involve law enforcement in the situation. Some have even told him to just move out of the place.

But Wagner said that the move has already depleted his funds. He has put up a GoFundMe to help him and his daughter leave and find a safer home to settle into. Not all renters are lucky enough to find a safe and cozy home. Like Wagner, this woman from South Carolina had to move out of her rental after learning about the home’s grim history.
