Man tries Red Lobster’s seafood boil. Then the crab and shrimp starts popping everywhere in suspiciously messy feast: ‘Ain’t That Easy killing these’

A seafood boil can get messy very quickly. There are shells to crack, meat to pull out, and plenty of sauce to deal with. One Red Lobster customer found that out when his meal started going in every direction.
Food reviewer Shawn (@shawnfoodreviews7) recently tried a Red Lobster seafood boil along with the chain’s new Crab & Shrimp Linguini Alfredo. His TikTok video has drawn around 1.1 million views, and what started as a simple food review became much messier once he tried getting the meat out of the shells.
Shawn did not let that stop him. He kept eating, asked for extra butter, and tried to get every piece of seafood he could. He has already shown that he is comfortable getting hands-on with a $30 LongHorn Steakhouse ribeye, and this meal gave him another reason to put down the utensils.
This is where things got interesting
Shawn started his meal with Red Lobster’s famous Cheddar Bay Biscuits. “Can’t go wrong with these nice, soft and fluffy,” he remarked before moving on to the seafood boil.
He first tried some of the shrimp and quickly decided he wanted even more sauce and butter. Shawn also tasted one of the Cajun potatoes, which he found soft. Then it was time to start working through the shellfish. That proved a little more difficult.
“Ain’t that easy killing these, but make it work,” Shawn said as he tried to crack open one of the shells. He eventually got inside and continued pulling at it to reach the meat. That was when keeping everything in one place became difficult.
“Oh, meat popping everywhere,” he said as a piece went flying. Still, Shawn kept digging through the shell instead of giving up on the bite.
Getting messy is hardly unusual for this type of meal. Seafood boils typically bring different kinds of seafood together with vegetables and seasoning, leaving diners to crack, peel, and pull apart much of the food themselves. Red Lobster offers seafood boils with combinations of shrimp, crab, lobster, corn, and red potatoes, depending on the order.
Customers can also choose different seasonings and sauces to change the flavor of the boil. That helps explain why extra sauce and butter became such an important part of Shawn’s meal.
Red Lobster has centered its menu around seafood since the chain opened its first restaurant in Lakeland, Florida, in 1968. Its menu has long featured lobster, shrimp, crab, fish, and pasta dishes. The chain is also widely associated with its Cheddar Bay Biscuits, which are served before meals and have become one of its most recognizable offerings.
After working through the boil, Shawn moved on to the Crab & Shrimp Linguini Alfredo. The pasta gave him a break from cracking shells, but he still wanted his first bite to include all of its main ingredients.
“Get a little bit of everything on there,” he said as he picked up the pasta, crab, and shrimp with his fork. The Alfredo also earned a positive reaction. Shawn called it “real creamy” and added, “You can definitely taste that seafood up in there.”
Despite the flying meat and stubborn shells, Shawn did not seem to have any major complaints. A Red Lobster seafood boil can leave plenty to talk about, but for Shawn, the mess was part of the fun. He appeared to enjoy both the seafood boil and the pasta right through the final bite.
