Man tries LongHorn Steakhouse’s $30 Parmesan crusted ribeye for the first time. Then things don’t go quite as expected: ‘Careful they don’t like us’

Trying a steakhouse for the first time can be a gamble. But one LongHorn Steakhouse customer seemed happy with his choice, especially after adding Parmesan crust to his ribeye.
Food reviewer Shawn (@shawnfoodreviews7) visited LongHorn Steakhouse for the first time and ordered a ribeye with Parmesan crust. His meal cost around $30. He ordered the steak medium rare, added Parmesan-crusted mashed potatoes, and also tried the restaurant’s bread.
Shawn clearly enjoyed the meal. He called the Parmesan crust “so fire” while eating the steak and seemed happy with his first LongHorn experience. But after he shared the review on TikTok, viewers had plenty to say about more than just the food.
Not everyone was ready for that
Instead of cutting the ribeye with a knife and fork, Shawn picked up the whole steak with his hands and started biting into it. That quickly caught viewers’ attention.
“Eating the steak like a slice of pizza is crazyyy,” one person wrote. “Was using silverware not an option?” another asked. “Who tf bites a steak like that?” someone else commented.
Steak videos often bring out strong opinions about how the meat should be eaten. A Texas Roadhouse customer recently tried to finish a massive 40-ounce steak with his hands, and viewers had plenty to say about that approach as well.
Shawn’s steak also started another argument. He had ordered it medium rare, but several viewers thought it looked more cooked than that.
“That’s medium. Not medium rare,” one person wrote. “That’s medium well,” another argued.
Shawn did not complain about how the steak was cooked. Instead, he kept eating and praised the Parmesan crust. He also seemed to enjoy the bread, spreading butter over it before taking a bite.
LongHorn Steakhouse is mainly known for its grilled steaks. Its menu includes sirloin, New York strip, ribeye, T-bone, filet, and the bone-in Outlaw Ribeye. Customers can also add a Parmesan cheese crust to their steaks. The chain serves chicken, ribs, seafood, burgers, and sides, with Parmesan Crusted Chicken among its popular dishes.
There are plenty of opinions about which LongHorn steak is worth ordering. When another food reviewer tried LongHorn’s different steaks to find the best one, the Outlaw Ribeye became the favorite. Shawn chose the boneless ribeye, but the Parmesan crust seemed to be the best part of his order.
Some viewers agreed with him. “Parm Crust hits every time,” one person commented. “So much better than Texas Roadhouse,” another wrote. Someone else declared, “Long horn forever, roadhouse never.”
But a few comments took the conversation in a different direction. “Oh yall must aint heard what they been doing,” one viewer wrote.
“Be careful they don’t like us,” another warned. One person disagreed with those warnings, writing, “My Longhorn have black servers and line cooks I’m not gon stop going.”
Neither of the viewers who posted the warnings explained what they were referring to. Shawn also did not claim that LongHorn employees treated him badly. His video focused on trying the food for the first time, and his experience seemed positive.
