The horrors kept getting worse.

Man made to clean ‘baby batter’ while working for an adult video store. But one customer made his job disturbingly easier ‘He outfreaked the freaks’

While video stores are a rarity today, Mickey (@ayepoee) said he used to work at an adult video store when he was 18. Recalling a typical day on the job, Mickey shared his most disturbing experiences on TikTok.

“Before I tell you the absolute worst story of me having this job, I need to give you a disclaimer,” Mickey warned. He said people who were eating, or had just eaten, shouldn’t listen. After laying down the warning, he continued, saying the adult video store he worked for had booths in the back.

“So, in the back, there were viewing booths. People go in, put in a dollar. The TV turns on, they’d pick their movie, do their thing, and then they’d leave,” Mickey explained. He said that while that was the general gist, more happened there. At the end of a busy night, usually Fridays or Saturdays, Mickey said that there would be “rivers of baby batter.” He said the suspicious discharge would get on the walls and even on the TVs, which were eight feet off the ground.

“I don’t know how the f*** they did it. I don’t want to know,” he said, reviled by the memory. Regardless, Mickey said he and the other staff members had to clean the space for the next day.

Finding a cursed object at the video store

Since he was new and on the night shift, Mickey was on cleaning duty, and he had to mop up the ‘baby batter’ river alone. It was his first night cleaning the video store after training, and as he swept, Mickey said his broom hit something. He couldn’t see it at first because it was underneath one of the booths.

He rolled the item out from under the booth, and Mickey remembered just staring at it. Mickey said his brain couldn’t comprehend what the item was until five or ten minutes later. He revealed, “It was a giant, s*****, bloody, b*** plug.” He may not have been at the Haunted Warren Museum taunting cursed objects, but working at the video store had its own horrors. Regardless, Mickey didn’t quit that night and kept working at the video store, even though his 18-year-old self was mortified to witness more inappropriate encounters.

Mickey alleged that one of the regulars, whom he nicknamed “Kyle,” took particular joy in telling him that fights or robberies were happening at the back. However, Mickey said these alerts turned out to be false alarms, and he would walk in on two people in compromising positions because the door wasn’t closed. “He thought it would be funny for me to see it and get grossed out,” Mickey said.

The most disturbing customer of them all

Despite the alleged depravity in the store, Mickey said even the other regulars avoided a man he called “Josh.” He remembered that one day, while he was eating pizza with the other video store regulars, Josh came in. Noticeably, Mickey said they all leaned forward to avoid the man.

When Mickey asked Kyle about Josh, Kyle allegedly replied, “You don’t want to know.” Mickey dropped the subject. Still, he observed that Josh took a while to leave the store every time he visited. After a couple of months, he also noticed that whenever Josh went into the back, the other regulars would go up front and pretend to peruse the shelves. They got away from Josh, like a woman avoiding a terribly suspicious stranger at Target.

“I couldn’t let it go,” Mickey said. Curiosity was killing him, so he decided to ask Kyle about Josh again. Kyle asked if he was sure, and Mickey agreed. Then Kyle walked up to the back door and told the other customers about Mickey’s wish to learn about the enigma that was Josh. Suddenly, all the regulars went out and lined up on either side of the door, staring at Mickey.

“It’s like I’m Katniss Everdeen, and I volunteered as tribute,” he quipped. Mickey didn’t know what he’d find in the back, but he went in anyway. But as he stepped in, Mickey felt confused. He continued, “I checked the cleaning closet, I checked the video room, I checked every booth. Nothing’s out of order.”

Mickey went out and told Kyle he hadn’t found anything. Kyle allegedly told him, “Look again.” Mickey did exactly that, and he said nothing was out of order. Then it hit him: “The floors were too clean.” In the comment section, Mickey confirmed that Josh allegedly licked the floors clean.

The story went viral on TikTok, with many expressing shock and disgust. One commenter said, after Mickey confirmed it, “I was waiting for someone to ask and now I wish I had just left with my curiosity and not knowing.” And another wrote, “He outfreaked the freaks.”
