They visited the Haunted Warren Museum in Salem, Massachusetts. She says it’s “ruining” her life
She regrets joking about Annabelle now.

Kayla Jackson (@kayla.jacksonn1) said she visited the Haunted Warren Museum in Salem, Massachusetts, which held some of the original artifacts that inspired The Conjuring universe. A few days after their trip, she and her friend reported unusual activity.
“The Haunted Warren Museum in Salem, Massachusetts, is ruining my life,” Jackson told social media. She and her friend, Emma, went to the museum on September 6th. On September 9th, Jackson claimed that over the past four days, they had experienced unexplained activity.
Jackson recounted her experience at the museum. When they entered, they were handed a flashlight to guide them through the museum. She explained, “So, my friend and I both had a flashlight. Let’s just say hers was flickering the entire time.” Jackson entertained the possibility that the organizers might be intentionally handing out faulty flashlights to scare guests but couldn’t confirm her suspicion.
“Certain rooms, the flashlight would be fine. Other rooms, the flashlight would freak out,” she alleged. Regardless, it unnerved both Jackson and Emma. At the end of the tour, she and Emma went into the room where the haunted doll, Annabelle, is. The Haunted Warren Museum’s official website confirmed that the Annabelle in their showcase is the original doll. Jackson said that Annabelle was behind the glass case, and that they only got to view her for a minute and thirty seconds.
“But I will say, the room is noticeably colder the minute that we stepped in. Whether once again this is a placebo, or this is somehow the museum doing it, I don’t know,” Jackson said. After they had left the museum, Jackson claimed nothing happened. But the next day, Emma’s migraine worsened. She noted that Emma had already had the migraine for the past two days. However, her friend went to urgent care.
Odd encounters after the Haunted Warren Museum visit
“While at urgent care, she literally passed out and woke up with her hand stuck in, like, a certain position,” Jackson claimed. She said it almost looked as if her friend had a seizure. She found it creepy, but the friends laughed it off. They even joked that Annabelle was behind it. In hindsight, Jackson said she regretted mocking and provoking the spirit. After all, Annabelle is notorious for unexplained deaths.
The day after her friend’s incident, Jackson was coming home from a long shift. She went up to her room and found feathers all over the floor. At first, Jackson thought her cats ripped up her pillow or a stuffed animal. But when she turned a corner, she found a dead bird sitting next to her bureau.
“It was like a sparrow. A big freaking bird dead in my room,” Jackson reported. She said she didn’t know how the bird got into her room because all their house windows were shut. She also said her outdoor cat stayed indoors all day. Curious about what seeing a dead bird means, Jackson was terrified of the symbolism.
“I looked it up, guys, and it says impending danger,” Jackson said. Even her father allegedly began saging the house, afraid of the ominous warning. However, Jackson’s ordeal was far from over. On September 9th, four days after her visit, she experienced something odd with another friend on their drive back from dinner. Jackson shared her experience with her friend, who had never been to the museum.
“And when we’re in the car, the music starts acting, like, really weird,” Jackson claimed. She said that the radio started sounding staticky, with a high-pitched squeaking voice, like something had been sped up. They later found out the sound came from her friend’s phone after they unplugged it from the car radio. Again, Jackson joked that it was probably Annabelle’s doing.
But the moment she got out of the car, her friend called to say the radio went back to normal. While Jackson is terrified of the unexplained activity, some people actively look for the paranormal, like this woman who deliberately thrifted a haunted doll.
