Move over Tank Truck: the Libyan rebels have a whole slew of homemade hightech weaponry entering the field. Though this may not have been what toy maker Fisher Price had in mind for their plastic Powerwheels motorized cars, the Libyan rebels have apparently impressed the durable toys into service as robotic fighters. They’ve also hacked together remote control machine guns for use on an ammunition resupply vehicle.

Though how many of these digital DIY weapons are in the field, it’s impressive that the rebel group was able to assemble them so quickly and, apparently, effectively. Notably, the US Army already has these capabilities; fighting robots and remotely operated gun turrets have already seen much combat.
