‘Lazy and Black’: Woman allegedly tries to run over Black Dollar Tree employee with her car after they refuse to unload her items
All because the employee didn't carry her items, allegedly.
A Dollar Tree store in Sandy Springs, Georgia, descended into chaos when a woman launched a racist tirade against employees and customers. The incident allegedly escalated to her attempting to run over a cashier with her car before police arrived to arrest her.
The incident was shared by Web Elyce (@itsybitsyweb) on TikTok, with the video gaining over 594,300 views. According to Elyce, she and her cousin were at Dollar Tree when they heard a commotion happening at the store’s front. The woman, whom she dubbed “Karen,” was allegedly upset with a Black cashier, “Sia,” for refusing to unload her items on the conveyor belt for her.
Sia’s refusal supposedly triggered Karen’s outburst, and Karen then began hurling racist insults towards Sia and other customers. Elyce claimed Karen called Sia “lazy,” told her to “get an education,” and that she should apply for a job at Wings ‘n Things. Sia allegedly quit on the spot when she became fed up and made a beeline to the front to call her manager, while Karen tried to “get her point across” to other employees before leaving the store.

The ordeal, however, was far from over. Elyce said she saw Sia running in the parking lot and realized Karen was chasing her around and allegedly “trying to hit Sia with her car.” Elyce said she attempted to help Sia and move her off the street, but Sia was livid and running on adrenaline at that point.
“Off my peripheral once again, I see Karen reversing her car […], and she’s charging at us,” Elyce said. Karen allegedly attempted to hit them with her car “three or four times” while Elyce, Sia, and others kept dodging her using the other parked cars. “If this b**** has anything left up here, she’s not gonna hit a car, right?” Elyce told viewers.
Elyce claimed that Karen was able to hit them, and in anger, Sia retaliated by smashing Karen’s windshield. When they returned inside Dollar Tree, Karen supposedly continued with her racist tirade. “The Black cashier came out and smashed the windshield,” Karen said in the video Elyce recorded of her. “It’s because she’s Black, right? You’re f****** racist.”

Karen turned her attention to the person recording her and asked, “Did you get served? You didn’t get any attitude for being lazy and Black?” She later accused others of being racist because she’s white. “There’s a white person in the Dollar Tree, you Black f****** racist,” Karen said.
Comments heavily sided with the cashier’s side and were in disbelief at Karen’s seeming aggressiveness. “They getting REAL comfortable,” a commenter wrote. A second comment read, “Ever since we stopped working for free, they call us lazy.”
Others encouraged Elyce and Sia to pursue legal action, saying, “Sue her, file claims with her car insurance company, her home insurance, sue the dollar tree for lack of safety too. Everybody need that.” Some felt that Elyce and Sia underreacted to the situation. “They are being too nice. I would’ve lost my mind,” a commenter wrote.
According to Elyse, the incident was resolved when police officers arrived and arrested Karen. She later set up a GoFundMe for Sia, whose “traumatic incident” at the store resulted in her becoming unemployed.
