Regarding the story itself, Melissa said her brother had recently made a new friend and brought him to his and Melissa’s sister’s engagement party. Melissa explained that at the family event, she felt “immediate chemistry” and “immediate tension” with her brother’s friend. She also revealed that one of the first things he told her was that he couldn’t believe she was his sister because they looked so different. As Melissa recounted, “the guy” and she spent most of the event talking and flirting. But when things started to look more serious, “the guy” told Melissa that her brother didn’t like him talking to her. Melissa then shared that after the party, she and “the guy” followed each other on Instagram, but her brother found out and warned her against continuing. She later learned that “the guy” had unfollowed her and removed her from his Instagram. When they met again later, she found out her brother had warned him to stay away from her.

While at the bar, her brother got kicked out, and “the guy” volunteered to help him while Melissa went to her friend’s house. During that time, “the guy” was texting Melissa, and at one point, he asked her to come over because her brother was a “mess.” While they were there, they started flirting again, and the chemistry was undeniable. They even cuddled briefly before Melissa’s brother woke up, saw them, and pulled Melissa off the bed.
