Kim Kardashian was recently interviewed by The Times about her life in all its aspects. This includes her break from dating between her divorce from Kanye West (who now goes by Ye) and her new relationship with Lewis Hamilton, a Formula 1 driver.

Part of this interview brought up the topic of raising the four children, who range in age from seven to 13, Kardashian has with West and how she approaches being a single parent when the children are with her. The answer is with the help of five nannies on rotation.

While this approach to parenting was not the main point of the interview at all, it drew the most attention from the internet.

Kardashian claims she makes an effort to parent even with nannies

Inevitably, the question of parenting came up in the interview, especially when Kardashian has a set of nannies ready to help her and splits custody of her children with their father, West. She also handles her career on top of parenting. That can be a lot for anybody to juggle regardless of their profession, number of children, fame, or wealth.

Kardashian says she handles school drop-offs, sits with her children for meals, and reads to them at night, so she’s not forgoing being a mother entirely and remains present and active in their lives when they’re with her.

Still, having more nannies employed than she has children was a shock to many readers, even if they aren’t all working at the same time, which seems to be the case since she said that one is always on rotation rather than they are all working at once. Meanwhile, other parents have to worry about their kids at daycare and growing costs of childcare and general living expenses.

A break from love let Kardashian heal and move forward

Another part of the interview talked about the gap in Kardashian’s love life, which included a short romance with a comedian. Kardashian said that she was okay with being single. She wanted to heal before opening herself up to a new romance. This also gave her the chance to work on her company, Skims. However, it left shoppers with mixed feelings when they visited the store in Chicago.

The topic of criticism came up, as Kardashian has received plenty of it over the years. She claimed that she isn’t bothered. She simply wants to keep moving forward and being herself. If anything, she claims that it motivates her.
