Have you ever wondered what the comedy scene looks like in the world of Star Wars? What kind of jokes Jabba the Hutt would tell as a stand-up comedian? Well, fan-video Youtuber A. Todd of Bellpond Films, a production company that makes “story-based, visually unique commercials, shorts, and feature films,” imagined exactly that in this parody of master classes starring insult comedian Jabba the Hutt.

“In his first ever online course, legendary insult comic Jabba the Hutt brings his years of comic industry experience to you! 90 Imperial credits will get you lifetime access,” the description writes. This goes into everything from catchphrases, dealing with hecklers (violently), and even debt-collecting, which he says is “not inherently funny, but can be quite hilarious.” Naturally.

There are a generous amount of puns (“Puns are a crutch for bad comedians. It’s like Yoda using a cane when ewoks.”), appearances from some familiar Star Wars characters, and a touching bit about how preserving your legacy in hearts and minds can be even more rewarding than preserving your enemies in carbonite. What do you think, would you take some comedy/debt-collecting lessons from Jabba?
