‘Heinous loser’: Pedro Pascal is right to call out J.K. Rowling

J.K. Rowling has made a name for herself by relentlessly attacking the trans community. Her latest villain move was to celebrate the unfair ruling by the United Kingdom Supreme Court that she helped to orchestrate. Now, darling Pedro Pascal has pushed back against Rowling.
Pascal, who has shared his vocal support for the trans community and just this week wore a “Protect the Dolls” shirt to the premiere of Thunderbolts in London, took to Instagram to call Rowling what she is: A heinous loser. Pascal responded to a video that Tariq Ra’ouf made calling out Rowling’s behavior. The disgraced Harry Potter author shared an image of herself smoking a cigar and drinking alcohol, celebrating the ruling.
Ra’ouf’s video featured the activist saying “J.K. Rowling is reveling in the fact that she helped the UK Supreme Court get to the point where they can define that trans women are not women legally. She’s so proud of all the work that she’s been doing to stoke hatred and fear into the general public about a very small minority population that’s already some of the most misunderstood people on the Earth.”
Pascal commented, writing “Awful disgusting SHIT is exactly right. Heinous LOSER behavior.”
Pascal is far from the first celebrity to call out Rowling. Dan Radcliffe, Emma Watson, and Rupert Grint have all pushed back at the author who has not taken their support of the trans community lightly. But frankly I think more celebrities should be doing this. Rowling is using her money and resources to actively support legislation that hurts the trans community. What she was doing was never okay but her latest move to push anti-trans rhetoric and bills is, as Pascal said, heinous.
We all should listen to what Ra’ouf’s video says. He went on to say we need to make Harry Potter unprofitable. Lining Rowling’s pockets with money only fuels her ability to attack the trans community. If you want to buy something from the franchise, may I suggest looking to trans artists who have their own work you can purchase instead?
At this point, your love of Harry Potter doesn’t matter. Rowling is using the money she made off of us as a fanbase to relentlessly attack the rights of the trans community and making sure she doesn’t get your money to help her cause is the least you can do. Pedro Pascal is a better person to be on the side of anyway.
