J.K. Rowling is in her villain era

Trans women and men are under attack in the United Kingdom. A new ruling by the Supreme Court in the UK has made it so women are only defined by their “biological sex.” The result is going to impact trans women and men negatively.

According to CNN, the ruling will “impact accommodations for trans women in bathrooms, hospital wards, sports clubs and more.” Essentially making the lives of the trans community so much harder because people with money decided they felt “attacked” by their existence. That’s what J.K. Rowling’s entire deal is now. She just continues to attack the trans community and claim it is some kind of just cause for women.

The ruling changes the Equality Act 2010, meaning that “trans women are no longer protected from discrimination as women.” The anti-trans organization For Women of Scotland brought the case to the court and reportedly popped champagne when they won. This is not a celebration of women’s rights. This is an attack on all women masked as a “feminist” move. And one of the loudest voices celebrating it is the Harry Potter creator.

Rowling posted on social media when the devastating ruling was announced and posted an image that feels like something a villain in a movie would do. She wrote “I love it when a plan comes together” and posted an image of her drinking and smoking by the water with the sun setting behind her. Women across the UK lost their rights and Rowling posted this image as if it was a moment to celebrate.

The post has almost 500,000 likes and has the support of MAGA people, COVID deniers, and Zionists. “Do you want to see how one woman can make a difference? Without J. K. Rowling’s unwavering support to biological women today’s UK Supreme Court ruling never would have happened. Trans women are no longer considered women by definition. Game changer. Victory for women everywhere,” one wrote and is that what Rowling wanted all along?

The image is truly and honestly horrifying. Was there some part of her mind that thought this would make her praised in some way? This woman was once beloved by an entire generation and threw all of that away to spread misinformation and hurt the trans community. Posting an image of her celebrating women losing their rights doesn’t make you a hero, Rowling. It makes you the villain of this story.

We stand with the trans community and this ruling is absolutely heartbreaking.
