Saga Won Big At The Eisner Awards When the 2013 Eisner Award nominations were announced, we had a feeling Image Comics' Saga would wind up winning one. Last night, it won three. Brian K. Vaughan and Fiona Staples won for Best Continuing Series and New Series, while Vaughan won Best Writer.
There was a tie for Best Penciler/Inker:
David Aja, Hawkeye (Marvel), Chris Samnee, Daredevil (Marvel); Rocketeer: Cargo of Doom (IDW), Aja also took home Best Cover Artist for Hawkeye. Becky Cloonan won Best Single Issue for The Mire, the Hope Larson-adapted A Wrinkle in Time won Best Publication for Teens (ages 13–17), and Trina Robbins was inducted into the Eisner Hall of Fame. And Best Humor Publication went to Jeffrey Brown's Darth Vader and Son.

But the folks who got into the Agents of SHIELD panel got the surprise of their weekends when it was announced they'd be watching the entire pilot episode. And guess what? [ Spoiler for cameo appearance] Cobie Smulders was in it and it won't be the last time she shows up. Check out a picture of her on set at Entertainment Weekly.
