Four siblings cleaned out their deceased mother’s home. They found granny’s ashes while dumping their family history
Hair, teeth, and even granny's ashes.

Hannah (@ziallsau4) and her three siblings cleaned the home of their deceased mom. While cleaning what they called their mother’s “hoarder house,” they found several uncanny trinkets, like pill boxes, rocks, and their late granny’s ashes.
“Hi, my name is Hannah, and the weirdest thing I found while cleaning my mother’s hoarder house is this bucket with a rock in it,” she told TikTok. The camera panned to a tub with a large slate rock. Then she pulled out several Ziploc bags filled with more slate rocks.
“Hi, my name is Heather. The craziest thing I found in my dead mother’s house is my mom’s mom’s ashes,” she said, as the camera focused on the small keepsake. Heather is half Black, and she alleged, “She called me the N-word.” She tossed her granny’s ashes into the trash bag.
“Hey, my name’s Mike, and the weirdest s*** I found in my mom’s house is pictures of her p******** father, who she felt the need to constantly bring us around,” he alleged. Like Heather, Mike threw away his grandfather’s photo.
“Hi, I’m Alexis, and the weirdest thing I came across in my dead mom’s house is this printed image of me after my cat died—clearly in distress, holding my dead cat on my lap,” she said. She pulled out the photo; flowers surrounded the cat in a pink tub on her lap. But the siblings would find more items their mom kept for unexplained reasons. While not worse than a deceased man’s “bottle house” in Canada, the siblings kept finding odd items in random locations. Some were keepsakes from when the siblings were growing up. However, they also found many recurring items in abundance that they had to throw away.
What else did their mom hoard?
“I’m thinking this is mine,” Hannah said, pulling a wad of hair from an envelope labeled “Clips for Kindness.” She believes it’s hers because her sister Alexis’ hair has never been that light. Hannah found more hair in several Ziploc bags later, but she wasn’t the only one finding random bundles around the house. Heather found a hair clip twice, in two separate envelopes. Even Mike found a braid of his hair lying around.
But aside from hair, Heather also found gel pens. “Do you know how many gel pens we’ve thrown away?” she asked, holding up a basket and a container of gel pens. Mike had yet another strange find: a leather suitcase filled with puzzles in Ziploc bags. He also found the original cardboard boxes neatly folded at the bottom.
“Another weird thing that we have found in our dead mom’s house is my cast, from when I broke my arm 23 years ago,” Hannah said. She explained that she was only three years old when one of her sisters pushed her off the trampoline. Their mom kept her pink cast in a Ziploc bag. While searching the house, they also found four 9/11 VHS tapes. The siblings confirmed that they were still working. Some people remember the tragedy more vividly than others, like this man who almost boarded one of the ill-fated flights on 9/11. But among the siblings, Alexis said she was so affected by the event that, as a child, she even sketched one of the towers falling.
“What else could possibly come out of the woodwork in this wacky collection?” Hannah asked, and the camera panned to a collection of Yanni CDs, cassette tapes, VHS tapes, and other memorabilia. But their final find easily beat the Yanni collection.
More strange items
“Welcome to our hoarder mother’s pill collection from over the years,” Heather said. The siblings tried to guess how many pill bottles their mother collected, as they were all stashed in a basket. Hannah said the basket alone held 224 pill bottles, some still containing miscellaneous items.
“One of our star pill bottles is the oldest one we found from 1993,” she said. Hannah said one 2008 bottle even contained teeth.
