The Mary Sue’s Favorite Comments of the Week: Serious Question About Magic Mike 3

Sorry not sorry.

After reading my review of Jupiter Ascending, LowPrices wants to know, “Serious question: Should I watch the first two Magic Mike films before going to see Magic Mike 3: Just Cocks Everywhere This Time, or will I be able to understand why there are just cocks everywhere if I dive right in, so to speak?”

We talked about HBO’s Game of Thrones Day in the Life special, but TheBoost misunderstood, saying “For a second I thought it said “Game of Thrones LIFE DAY Special” and had imaged of Jefferson Starship singing the Rains of Castamere.”

Emily Sisk was really happy about the 50 Shades of M.O.D.O.K. remake: Emily Sisk “Thank you for giving me something to associate with that book of unfortunate drivel other than terribly misguided BDSM and abusive relationships. Even if it is this angry flying vacuum canister with a face.”

New Rat Queens artist Stjepan Šejić is great. Maybe too great?

After we mentioned that the new hybrid dinosaur in Jurassic World should be Vincent D’Onofrio, SomeGuy asked, “So this is essentially Law and Order: Dinosaur Intent?”

Remember Ridley Scott’s excuses for whitewashing ExodusAdrian wants to make things right: “My Spider-Man fancast vote is for Mohammad so-and-so. Since Ridley Scott won’t hire the guy, Marvel/Sony should do the right thing and give my boy Mo a job.”

Enjoy what brainstorming came out of wanting Spider-Sense and Sensibility to become a book!

And finally, huge congrats to frequent TMS commenter Cain S. Latrani who just sold their book, War Witch, to Booktrope!

You can read about the book and its publisher over on Cain’s blog, but Cain also had some very nice things to say about the TMS community here in our comments: “For all that this website, the editors, contributors, and comment community have helped show me where I was not living up to the person I wanted to be, I am so glad to be given the opportunity to bring this book out with big backing.” We’re so excited for you, Cain!

Have a great weekend, Mary Suevians!
