Will Farscape Creator’s New Series Be Original or a Reboot?

Rockne O’Bannon, creator of Farscape, Alien Nation, and seaQuest DSV announced via Twitter that he had “HUGE” news following a meeting with SyFy, something about a “new series.” This could mean several things: There will be a new scripted space opera in the SyFy lineup. Or there could be a reboot of one of O’Bannon’s previous series, specifically Alien Nation, as was suggested back in 2009. As io9 points out, an alien-focused series would fill in the gap in a lineup that includes the supernatural (Being Human), superheroes (Alphas), and space (Blood & Chrome).

But as of right now, all we have is a Tweet. And a lot of ideas …
