Have you ever experienced crippling anxiety over the direction your life and career are headed? If so, you can probably relate to Con Man’s Wray Nerely (Alan Tudyk) who finds himself in that very position after starring in the fictional sci-fi series Spectrum and not seeing much success afterward.  In an exclusive clip, he receives unexpected life advice from a wise bartender (Casper Van Dienwho knows a heck of a lot about the movie Starship Troopers.

The unnamed character who says he’s not Van Dien even though he looks just like him,  delivers a vivid pep talk about a boy who dreamed of leading a troop that lies on a starship—a starship troop, if you will. For those wondering why that sounds so familiar, that’s because it’s the plot of the 1997 film. Also, it’s in the title. Get it?

Con Man’s second season finale airs January 26 on Comic Con HQ. The series also stars Nathan Fillion and features appearances by Mindy Sterling, Nolan North, Amy Acker, Henry Rollins, Leslie Jordon, Eliza Dushku, Felicia Day and Lou Ferrigno.
