Entitled Customer Nukes Small Bakery’s Review Page After Demanding 30 Same-Day Catering Pastries: ‘We Would Have Nothing Left In-Store’
Isn’t that common knowledge?

Running a boutique bakery is a balancing act of supply, demand, and grueling early-morning prep hours. Yet, some customers seem to believe they operate like magic pantries with infinite stock. For digital creator Gillian (@lttlebean), a customer’s alleged last-minute demand for catering highlighted the entitlement shop workers face every day.
In a viral TikTok skit sitting at over 312,000 views, Gillian recreated a infuriating counter exchange with a customer who refused to accept a standard operational policy. Though it began as a last-ditch request for 30 pastries, the encounter allegedly devolved into petty review-bombing revenge.
A customer demanded same-day catering for a last-minute evening event
According to the skit, the interaction began when a customer walked up to the counter asking if the bakery handled bulk catering orders. When the worker confirmed they did, the customer allegedly requested 30 pastries for an event later that same evening.
The employee politely explained that standard catering orders require a minimum 24-hour advance notice. She explained that this is because their pastry chef operates on an overnight schedule to prep for each business day. However, the customer wad supposedly unmoved by basic operational logistics. She insisted the shop was her “last resort” and told the worker they were “going to have to figure it out.”
The customer asked the bakery to use their display for her catering order
The employee politely tried to explain to the customer that they can not just “figure it out.” Just then, the customer allegedly pointed at the fully stocked display and argued that there was plenty to fulfill her catering order. However, the worker firmly stood her ground.
“Right, but then we would have nothing left in-store,” the employee responded calmly. She tried to explain that clearing out the display counters for a single bulk order would leave zero inventory for everyday foot traffic.
The bakery worker offered a helpful alternative before the customer allegedly made a threat
Even after being met with rude demands, Gillian claimed she attempted to help the shopper out by offering a solution. She recommended a neighboring bakery just down the street that might have enough surplus inventory to cover her bulk order.
Instead of accepting the recommendation gracefully, the customer allegedly delivered an ultimatum. “I hope you realize that I’ll be writing a review, and nobody’s going to come here anymore for pastries,” she reportedly threatened.
True to her word, the customer eventually posted a scathing, highly fabricated review online, according to Gillian. In her post-skit breakdown, she revealed that the reviewer lied about giving a full two days’ notice. They also claimed that the staff refused to offer any explanation for turning her away, and falsely alleged that she was forcibly kicked out of the store.
Why review-bombing weaponizes public feedback against small businesses
Online review platforms were created to give consumers an honest voice. However, they are increasingly weaponized by entitled patrons throwing digital tantrums. When a customer doesn’t get their way, whether due to last-minute demands or standard store rules, leaving a completely fabricated negative review is a manipulative attempt to inflict financial damage on a business.
For small, independent establishments that rely on local reputation, false review-bombing hurts real workers and distorts public perception. Patrons have no right to sabotage a business page simply because staff refused to compromise their daily operations for a single order.
Respecting kitchen schedules and staff boundaries is non-negotiable
Gillian’s video struck a massive chord with service industry workers who routinely deal with patrons treating policies like flexible suggestions. After all, small businesses set policies like advance notice requirements to protect their staff and maintain consistent service for their entire customer base.
