We’ve gone on and on about how excited we are about this new DuckTales revival, and lucky for us, Disney XD was kind enough to put the entire first episode online for free!

It’s a pretty great start, we think, and it’s certainly a show we want to see succeed. I mean, it stars all our favorite stars, including David Tennant as Scrooge McDuck, Bobby Moynihan as Louie, Ben Schwartz as Dewey, Danny Pudi as Huey, Kate Micucci as Webby, Toks Olagundoye as Mrs. Beakley, Beck Bennett as Launchpad McQuack, and Lin-Manuel Miranda as Gizmoduck.

What I’m also struck by is the neat new animation style that Disney XD has gone with here. It reminds me a lot of the Mickey Mouse revival cartoons that came out a few years back, which I enjoyed immensely. It’s a welcome change, one that certainly makes sense when you consider the fact that maybe the animators aren’t looking to fully recreate that classic Disney cartoon short style. It was neat and iconic for the time, but today’s audience sure could use something different, and I think that’s exactly what they gave us here.

The episode’s about 45 minutes long, which is a nice, solid length. If you need a break today, this might be just what the duck-tor ordered. (Sorrynotsorry.)
