July 8, 2016 is when Marvel’s Doctor Strange will be swooping into theaters in its fancy cape, almost exactly two months after Anthony and Joe Russo make us cry again about Bucky Barnes in Captain America 3 (out May 6, 2016). Strange himself has yet to be cast—the latest word is that Joaquin Phoenix is thiiiiiis close to accepting the role, only he isn’t sure he’s prepared to hitch his star to a huge Hollywood vehicle like the MCU quite yet.
Phoenix is a great actor, but… Pedro Pascal. There’s still time, Marvel.
