Luckily that test footage we saw recently wasn’t just an empty tease—the Deadpool movie is really happening, and now we know when we can expect to be swaddled in its rich corinthian leather and hilarity.
Variety broke the news yesterday that the movie will arrive on February 12, 2016. Tim Miller, who was responsible for the animated test footage, is directing, and the movie will be produced by Marvel’s Kevin Feige and Lauren Shuler Donner. And yes, Ryan Reynolds will be reprising his role as Deadpool from X-Men Origins: Wolverine.
We are finally a go for Deadpool movie, people.
