The Civil Wars, the band made famous thanks to their Barton Hollow album, has apparently been undergoing some hardships. We here at Geekosystem typically don’t report on the music industry coming and goings, but we aren’t above gorging ourselves on low-hanging fruit when it comes to making a joke. See, the band’s just cancelled the rest of their tour, citing “irreconcilable differences” like all good bands and bad married couples. One might even say that what we’ve got here is a failure to communicate.

I don’t like it any more than you men — and women. Here’s the relevant tidbit from the group’s Facebook page:

We sincerely apologize for the canceling of all of our tour dates. It is something we deeply regret. However, due to internal discord and irreconcilable differences of ambition we are unable to continue as a touring entity at this time. We thank each and every one of you for your amazing love & support. Our sincere hope is to have new music for you in 2013.

Here’s hoping you don’t need your The Civil Wars at any point soon.
