North America’s first ever (pop-up) cat café is officially launching today and will entertain both cat and coffee enthusiasts every day from 10am to 7pm until it closes this Sunday, April 27th. Luckily, we live close enough that we can justify taking a trip down to 168 Bowery to go visit the kitties for ourselves, but if you don’t, you can live vicariously through this video stream.

The café is funded through  Purina One, which is using the opportunity to promote their upcoming 28 Day Challenge. All the cats will be adoptable at the end of the weekend through the  North Shore Animal League. We’ll be stopping by later today for serious journalism reasons, so be sure to check out our Twitter and Instagram for up-to-the-minute breaking cat news around 4pm. Maybe you’ll even see us on the livestream at some point?
