Brisbane woman had to wait for an hour to be serviced at the nail salon. But then, the staff kept letting people in anyway: ‘Send me to jail’

Riley Rodgers-Falk (@rileyrodgersfalk) from Brisbane told TikTok about her experience at a nail salon. After a long wait to get her nails done, she alleged that the nail tech rushed the job, leaving the finish subpar.

“I’ve never been so pissed off in my life that I have to go on a rant, ‘cause what the f*** just happened? I am actually just so sick of going into these nail salons anyway,” Rodgers-Falk told social media. She walked in and wanted a French tip at an undisclosed nail salon. Although she works nearby, Rodgers-Falk only had an hour to have her nails done. She said she made it clear to the staff that her time was limited and asked if they could do a full set. They agreed and asked her to sit down, and when she asked one of the women how long the wait would be, she allegedly told her it would only take ten minutes to accommodate her.

“Tell me if this has happened to you. Don’t you think it’s a little bit suspicious that they sit you down and they put the gel tips on, so you got these long-a** piranha fingers, and you’re sitting there, so uncomfortable, and they do that, and they get up and walk away,” Rodgers-Falk alleged. She believes that because her nails already had gel on them, she could no longer leave the nail salon. She had only an hour, yet the nail tech allegedly walked away.

Her wait time exceeded ten minutes. “When I tell you, 50 minutes go by, and I’m sitting there, with these f****** tips on, and I couldn’t even leave, and I’m trying to rip them off,” Rodgers-Falk alleged. Despite trying to remove them, she said she couldn’t without damaging her nails.

Her nail salon appointment took longer than expected

“Me and this poor old lady sitting beside me got there first,” Rodgers-Falk claimed. She said only two staff were available at the nail salon, and she worked up the courage to ask one of them how much longer she’d have to wait. Then, the woman allegedly replied that she had to wait five more minutes. Rodgers-Falk clarified whether they really meant five minutes, and they agreed. She also asked them to cut her nails shorter, and it took them more than five minutes to comply.

While she waited with another group of women, Rodgers-Falk claimed the staff kept letting customers into the nail salon. It had already been an hour, and then four more staffers came into the nail salon. She thought that they would finally attend to her and the other women who had been waiting. But according to Rodgers-Falk, they were sent to serve the walk-ins who had just arrived. It’s not as bad as this Washington woman’s experience, where a nail tech talked about her in another language during a service. Nevertheless, Rodgers-Falk said she started twitching in annoyance.

“I’m gonna start f****** swinging. Send me to jail,” she joked. Even though she considered herself patient, they still stretched her patience thin. When they finally decided to serve her, Rodgers-Falk said it was still the worst nail salon experience she’d ever had. She alleged, “They were filing the s*** out of my nails.” Rodgers-Falk told them that she was in a hurry, and because they served her late, they allegedly rushed the job. She took a photo of her thumb and alleged the nail tech cut her because they were in a hurry.

“They’re not bad, but why are they orange? I got French tips. Tell me why they’re orange,” she said, unsatisfied with the result. She also disliked the placement of the white tips, saying they were too high. While Rodgers-Falk waited too long for nails she didn’t like, another nail salon appointment in California ended in tears after a nail tech insulted a woman’s design choice.
