If you were gunning to get tickets to this year’s BlizzCon, the odds are pretty good that tonight was not your lucky night: The first batch of tickets for Blizzard Entertainment‘s eagerly anticipated two-day event were snapped up almost as soon as they were let out of the gates at 10pm EDT / 7pm PDT, with a ticket queue of 10,000 already formed just moments after they went on sale. WoW.com reports that as of 10:23pm EDT, all of the $150 tickets had already sold out.

A healthy secondary market for BlizzCon tickets has already formed on eBay, where the cheapest ‘buy it now’ offer we could find clocked in at $275.00 for a badge/ticket only (no goodie bag), and $500.00 for a ticket + goodie bag was not uncommon.

If you would prefer to keep your arm and a leg (the better to buy sparkle ponies with), you can try again at getting a BlizzCon ticket on Saturday, June 5th at 1pm EDT / 10am PDT. But if tonight’s sale or past sales are any indication, you’d best have lightning reflexes.
