Black woman had police called on her after another woman mistook car seat left in her car for a child: ‘Her face just went pale’
Maybe she should have minded her own business

A woman who witnessed a stranger taking pictures of her car at the gas station claims a bizarre misunderstanding has since escalated into a much larger conflict. It all started after an unknown woman accused a TikToker by the name of Taye of abandoning her child in the car; however, Taye suspected the woman’s outrage may have actually been due to her alleged racism.
In a video posted to TikTok in September, Taye claimed that she confronted a woman who was taking photos of her car while on the phone. When she ran out there, the woman told her she was on the phone with the police. “She calling the police because I left my child in the car,” Taye claims, before opening the door and revealing that the car was empty.
In her vehicle was a car seat with Princess Tiana from the Disney movie The Princess and the Frog printed on the design. “I know like hell you not talking about Princess Tiana,” Taye says.
The woman was apparently shocked after realizing her mistake. “Her face just went pale,” Taye claims, before she allegedly tried to explain, “I thought I was doing the right thing.” Taye told the woman she wasn’t waiting for the police, and things escalated, apparently leading to Taye hitting the woman with her car door when she opened it.
Taye accused the woman of being racist
The TikToker claims that she noticed the woman had been following her from the training building where she had been for work and says that she believes that the woman’s actions stemmed from apparent racism. “She asked me, with a straight face, ‘Why are you even over here?’”
Taye says the area she was in for work was a place she’d never been before, but she suspected that the color of her skin had played a part in why the other woman (who was white) had been suspicious of her and allegedly followed her to the gas station.
In a later video, Taye reveals that the woman who had called the police on her actually worked in the same building as her and says her manager called her into a meeting with the other woman and two of her reps a few days later to discuss the situation. The woman allegedly accused Taye of being the one to provoke her and attack her, but Taye’s manager questioned why the woman was so close to her car in the first place.
The woman was suspended with pay for three days. Meanwhile, Taye’s manager advised her to file a police report. Earlier this month Taye revealed she had received a cease and desist from the woman, resulting in another work meeting with attorneys present.
According to Taye, the woman wanted to bring harassment charges and a restraining order against her; however, the woman’s attorney apparently ended the meeting by telling Taye’s team that it was a misunderstanding. Shortly afterwards, the woman quit, although Taye admits she’d not sure that’s the end of it.
