Okay, everyone, it's official: Ryan Reynolds will be taking the lead role of Connor MacLeod in the upcoming reboot of Highlander. The rumor first started circulated last month that the somewhat polarizing Green Lantern star might be up for the role, and it caused some to become, um, passionate. Lots of people have lots of opinions on it, and I am going to write about it. Don't worry, people, I have watched the movie.

While it's not exactly nationwide, and, therefore, not yet what could be considered a "growing trend" in Japan, the mayor of Osaka recently mandated that all city employees -- officials, teachers, etc. -- admit to having tattoos, whether they are visible or not, as well as how long they've had them. Why? Because of the children. Uhhhh... What's this now?

Following Rumors We Had Wished Were False, Nora Ephron Is Confirmed to Have Died at 71

Late yesterday afternoon, rumors started popping up that columnist Liz Smith had eulogized screenwriter, director, and producer Nora Ephron without any evidence that she had actually passed away. The rumors started flying, Ephron's publisher said the director was still alive. But sadly, it turned out to be true: Nora Ephron had died of complications from leukemia at 71. Let's remember what she gave us, whether it was a beloved movie or an unironic guilty pleasure.

Things We Saw Today: Kraft’s Pride Oreo

Kraft celebrated Pride Day yesterday by posting this rainbow Oreo on its Facebook page. While the response was mostly positive -- nearly 170,000 "likes" at the time of this writing -- guess what?
