Adam Kinzinger Says Nancy Mace is in a ‘Real Mental Health Crisis’ Following Her Comments About Islam
Forget about taking back her comments, she is actually doubling down
Former Congressman Adam Kinzinger has become one of the most vocal critics of President Donald Trump since last year. On multiple occasions, he has publicly criticized Trump, his administration, and the Republican Party for actions he believes are harmful to America and its residents, or has simply pointed out the misconduct of individual members within the party.
This time, Kinzinger has made pointed remarks at Representative Nancy Mace, accusing her of blatant Islamophobia during an appearance on CNN. In a clip going viral on social media, Mace raises objections to Muslims’ call to prayer five times a day, stressing that others should not have to hear it. Then, when the interviewer emphasized that Muslims have the right to practice their religion like anyone else, Mace said they could do so from the privacy of their homes or mosques.
Kinzinger, in a post on X on Monday, criticized Mace’s comments related to this event. While sharing a clip of her making these comments, Kinzinger wrote, “It’s clear Nancy mace is in a real mental health crisis.”
“Is there a way they can make her resign?”
Some people in the comments section of Kinzinger’s post seemed to agree with him and voiced their support. One user wrote, “Is there a way they can make her resign? I appreciate her participation in getting transparency on Epstein files but besides that she is a very unstable and unproductive member of Congress. Evidence of that is how her own state feels about her , there is a reason she came in 5th place.”
Another user said, “I swear she was normal at one point Adam. I used to watch her on CNN when she first came on the scene and I thought well there was a rational normal Republican maybe that will help… She’s off her rocker crazy now.”
Some people, on the other hand, confronted Kinzinger for charging at Mace. One user commented, saying, “You can call her names and do ad hominem attacks, but you and Omar are the actual radicals. I’ll take Normie Nancy any day.” Another user remarked, “As I am not a big fan of Nancy .. this just proves one thing you are traitor, and a Commie .. you would side with the anchor who’s trying to defend Islam and communism .. oh wait you’re a POS too.”
The source of the conversation
The discussion during Mace’s appearance on CNN this Monday stemmed from some of her social media posts, where she expressed anti-Muslim sentiments. In an X post on August 8, 2026, Mace wrote, “Every single Muslim holding public office in America is a trojan horse, and a threat to both national security and our republic. We refuse to be silent.”
The same day, Mace made another post, sharing a picture of Muslim individuals praying on the streets of America. For the caption, she wrote, “Not even 25 years after Muslim terrorists flew planes into the Twin Towers, New York City is being overrun by the very people who want to see this country burn. This is an invasion. There is no other way to put it. Every American who watched this country get attacked on its own soil and said “never again” deserved better than this.”
This isn’t the first time Nancy Mace has made controversial remarks. In fact, she’s well known for it. Just a few months ago, she questioned whether mass deportation carried out by the Trump administration could be live-streamed. Then, she did it again when she attacked Representative Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib during the holy month of Ramadan.
