‘Star Trek’ Turns 60 This Year and Lego Is Celebrating the Original Series With a New Set

Star Trek fans, the rumors were true. Lego’s Enterprise-D will soon have some company, as the company has revealed that Star Trek: The Original Series is also getting the brick treatment.

Lego announced the Lego Icons Star Trek: U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701 Bridge set during San Diego Comic-Con’s annual events preview night. While Star Trek (and Lego) fans will have to wait a bit longer for the set to release, it seems that the wait will be well worth it.

The set is, in part, to celebrate Star Trek’s 60^th birthday, as The Original Series debuted in 1966. The first set to feature the crew of the original U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701, the latest addition to the Lego line comes with an incredible 1,701 pieces (a reference to the Enterprise’s NCC-1701 registry number) and so much more.

Here’s What to Expect With the ‘Star Trek: The Original Series’ Lego Set

Be prepared, because this Lego set comes with a lot.

The 1,701 brick pieces build two iconic interiors from the Enterprise — the transporter room and the bridge. Both of these interiors are created as modular sections, giving fans flexibility in how they’re displayed once completed. Even cooler, though, are the interactive features.

The bridge comes with a number of computer stations, including one screen that displays a Lego Klingon warrior. It also includes the captain’s chair, which can be rocked back and forth to stimulate turbulence. Plus, builders can open turbolift doors with a push of a lever and beam up crew members by turning a dial.

Additionally, the Lego Icons Star Trek: U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701 Bridge set contains eight minifigures of the crew to truly set the scene. These include Spock, James T. Kirk, Leonard McCoy, Montgomery Scott, Nyota Uhura, Christine Chapel, Pavel Chekov, and Hikaru Sulu. Lego has also included accessories: a Trident Scanner, Spock’s harp, four tribbles, and two Vulcan Lirpas.

When Will This Lego Set Be Available?

While the announcement of the Lego Icons Star Trek: U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701 Bridge set was timed with the launch of season 4 of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, the new set isn’t available until September 1, 2026. However, pre-orders just began, so fans can go ahead and ensure they have one. The set retails for $199.99.

Also, if fans need even more Star Trek Lego action in their lives, the first Star Trek set is still available, as well. The Star Trek: U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701-D Lego set from Star Trek: The Next Generation is much larger, with a total of 3,600 pieces. It includes several minifigures, such as Data, Worf, and Captain Picard, and sells for $399.99.
