New York City Woman Heard a Strange Story About the House She Moved To. There Was Poop on The Wall: ‘It Wasn’t a Plumbing Issue!’

For Alex Blumy (@alexblumy), who left her Wall Street job in New York City to move to rural Zimbabwe to fundraise for a wildlife reserve, running into wild animals seems to be a part of daily life. But a story about her current home in connection to poop and a python left her horrified.
Blumy explained that she was living in the middle of the bush. Although her home had modern architecture, it had a thatch roof.
During the first few weeks of her living in her home, her neighbors had been asking her how she feels about living in the neighborhood. It’s not the strangest question to ask a next-door neighbor, but Blumy suspected that there was more to the question.
“They were waiting for me to say something terrible has happened,” Blumy said. She felt confused but came to the conclusion that perhaps her neighbors were only worried. Her house was a little deeper into the woods, after all.
But something would happen later that would confirm Blumy’s initial suspicion. There was definitely something strange about the house.
Prior to Blumy, she was told by someone that there were other people set to stay in the neighborhood for three weeks. A couple stayed in the house that Blumy is currently living in. The woman noticed brown sludge leaking from the ceiling all the way to the bathroom wall.
She found it strange, so she informed plumbers, assuming it was just poop. Plumbers came in and initially claimed that it was merely a “plumbing issue.” They even said that they “fixed” the problem.
“It wasn’t a plumbing issue,” Blumy said, seemingly distressed by the actual discovery. She pointed to the wall where the sludge once was, then pointed to a spot in her thatch ceiling.
It was not human poop
“In this ceiling, there was a twelve-foot python,” Blumy said, but the story didn’t end there.
It was not a plumbing issue, but there was definitely poop involved. The substance leaking from the ceiling was python poop.
“It gets worse, because it’s not like they came and removed the python,” Blumy explained. The plumbers said they took care of the issue. But it seems like they only cleaned the python poop that was leaking on her bathroom wall.
According to Blumy, the plumbers realized how big the snake was and couldn’t get it out. Because of that, they left the snake where it was and didn’t disclose that there was a giant constrictor in the roof.
Commenters on TikTok were terrified of Blumy’s revelation. Many were asking how she could even afford to get a wink of sleep in the house now that she knows that there was once a python comfortably living in the roof. Others were sending Blumy well-wishes, hoping she would make it through the night. But many more were shocked, unable to comprehend the size of a twelve-foot python.
Was the python taken out?
“It was this house. That’s why everyone was asking me,” Blumy realized. She connected the dots, and the neighbors were probably asking because they knew about the snake incident. Despite the discovery, Blumy is still staying in the same house. When asked by commenters if the snake had been taken out, Blumy replied with uncertainty. Although she used past-tense for the snake, she didn’t disclose whether or not the snake had actually been taken out of her roof.
The snake could still be up there, and she wouldn’t know until she starts seeing brown sludge from her walls.
