US Man Talks to a Woman All Night at a Bar and Brings Her Home. Then, the Next Morning, He Realizes She’s a ‘Midnight Bandit’: ‘ I’m Feeling Inspired’
The midnight makeover artist strikes again

When you go out to a bar to hang out, you don’t expect anything bad to happen. But when you’re intoxicated, many things can go wrong that aren’t really in your control. For example, you might fall down the stairs, bump into a stranger, start a fight, or even break down crying, overwhelmed by memories of your ex, so much so that someone has to come and console you. You might end up befriending that person, only to discover they’re part of a gang (yes, very specific, I realize that). My point is that anything can happen when you’re drunk.
TikTok user @robbybud shared a video on May 8, 2026, where he recounted how he went to a bar the previous day, met a woman, and talked to her all night. He revealed that she came home with him, and they hooked up. @robbybud said everything went as planned, and they both had fun. But the next morning, when he woke up and she was gone, things were different. Keep reading to find out what happened.
TikTok user @robbybud’s story about a bar hookup has gone viral
As previously mentioned, TikTok user @robbybud uploaded a video on May 8, 2026, in which he talked about a woman he hooked up with after talking to her for hours at a bar.
Talking about the situation, @robbybud said that he spoke to this woman from around 11:30 pm to 2 am. When he asked if she wanted to come back to his house, he said yes. They then went back to his place, watched a movie, and afterward, they did “the deed.” Following that, they went to sleep.
The next day, when @robbybud woke up, he noticed the girl was already gone. He assumed she might have had to leave for work. Afterward, he went to brush his teeth, and as he looked in the mirror, he noticed his hair was braided, and he had badly done makeup on his face. Confused about what had happened, @robbybud grabbed his phone and opened his messages to find a text from the girl he had brought home earlier, which read, “The midnight makeover artist strikes again.” @robbybud tried to reply, but she didn’t respond.
@robbybud mentioned that he asked his friends if they had experienced anything similar, but they all confirmed that his was a unique experience. He also said that the incident was bizarre and that he doesn’t understand why it happened to him or why anyone would think it’s okay to subject him to something like this.

Hookup Culture and Mental Health
According to an article published by The Institute of Family Studies, hook-up culture has a significant negative impact on mental health. One immediate effect is dissatisfaction, but there are others as well.
A survey by the American Psychological Association (APA) shows that many college students show negative emotional outcomes after hook-ups, including regret and low self-esteem. An APA survey of 1468 undergraduates found that 82.6% experienced negative mental and emotional effects, such as embarrassment, loss of respect, and trouble maintaining steady relationships. Another APA study revealed that 78% of women and 72% of men who engaged in sex without commitment felt regret afterward. The article published by The Institute of Family Studies notes that these experiences appear to be linked to increased symptoms of depression and anxiety, adding to the already existing and growing mental health crisis among teenagers.
