So There’s a Woman Who Eats Pictures of Glen Powell’s Face Every Day
She did it for 80 days.

Glen Powell found out a woman in London had been eating printed photos of his face for 80 days straight and she only stopped after 140 because she finally met him in person. The Anyone But You and Twisters star shared the bizarre story during The Hollywood Reporter’s Comedy Actor Roundtable, leaving the rest of the panel – Harrison Ford, Owen Wilson, Zach Braff, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, and Riz Ahmed – equally stunned.
According to Metro, Powell described the moment he was told about the fan’s unusual habit while standing on the red carpet at The Running Man premiere in November 2025. “They’re like, ‘Hey, the girl that eats your face is on the red carpet,’” he recalled. “I go, ‘What are you talking about?’”
The woman, who goes by @mynameismonique on TikTok, had been printing out pictures of Powell’s face daily and literally consuming them, all while demanding a role in one of his movies. When she finally met him at the premiere, she took a bite out of a fresh printout right in front of him. Powell played it cool, smiling and saying, “Now it’s a premiere!” He later admitted to the panel, “I didn’t know this was a thing until it was described to me.”
The rest of the actors were horrified
Braff immediately asked, “How did she get red carpet access?” Powell agreed, calling it “a real liability.” The story took an even weirder turn when the panel started swapping their own wild fan encounters. Harrison Ford shared that someone once loudly announced in an airport, “My mother wants to sleep with you.”
Riz Ahmed recounted a fan chasing him down the street to yell, “That’s not your signature!” after he signed an autograph. Owen Wilson joked about his street cred being ruined by his terrible parallel parking skills, while Powell revealed a fan once asked him to sign a private family photo – “Where did you get that?” he wondered.
The conversation quickly shifted to the absurdity of fame in the age of social media, with Ahmed pointing out how hard it is to convince yourself “no one is watching” when, in reality, “everyone is watching all the time in the most intense way.” Powell admitted that the noise of public opinion can mess with your head, but he’s learned to focus on the joy of making movies. “Sets are the happiest places on earth for me, if I’ve done the work ahead of time,” he said.
He even shared a letter he got from filmmaker Richard Linklater that saved him from letting the stress of releasing a movie ruin the fun of making it. “You’ve got to separate the experience of making a movie from the experience of releasing it,” Linklater wrote. “Otherwise, the noise will taint how much fun this shit is.”
Powell and the others also dove into the push-and-pull of fame
According to THR, Ahmed admitted he recently stopped hiding behind baseball caps and glasses. “I don’t want to wear them anymore,” he said. “And you know what happens? Nothing. A couple of people go, ‘I like that movie.’ The world’s a slightly friendlier place.”
Ford, meanwhile, revealed his secret to avoiding unwanted attention: “If you don’t act like it’s a thing, it won’t be a thing.” Powell witnessed this firsthand while filming Expendables 3 with Ford at the Cannes Film Festival, where the actor strolled from the plane to the red carpet without a single bodyguard while the rest of the cast had jacked security details.
When the topic turned to memes, Ford deadpanned, “What’s a meme?” Powell jumped in to explain, referencing Ford’s iconic “Get off my plane!” moment from Air Force One. Braff shared his favorite meme: a clip of him humping the air on Conan while wearing a green-screen onesie for Oz the Great and Powerful, with Conan awkwardly looking away.
Abdul-Mateen, who played Doctor Manhattan in Watchmen, revealed his most viral meme – one where his blue-skinned character is photoshopped with a dashiki, a kufi, and red laser eyes. “If we’re going to make him Black, let’s make him blackity-Black,” he joked.
