Airbnb Guests Move Couch, Georgia Hosts Complain About ‘Disrespect’: ‘What’s the Oxygen Fee?’

Just like hotels, Airbnb houses have rules that guests must follow. While there are extreme cases of visitors ruining furniture, Cassie and Jon (@cassieandjon) from Georgia have been trending on social media for talking about their ‘disrespectful’ guests.
In one video, they rated a family of four that had stayed in their Airbnb property and paid a $50 cleaning fee. Despite having paid for a cleaning fee, the couple wasn’t thrilled with the way the family left their Airbnb.
“We already know they had some kids with them because the lights were crooked as heck, and there’s a ball on the driveway,” Jon commented. The lights on the driveway were not knocked down but were slightly bent from their position. It’s unclear if any of the lights had been damaged.
“A lack of respect”
“Got a remote misplaced,” Cassie said, lifting a remote on the console table. Although the guest had a sterling review of the couple’s Airbnb, Cassie and Jon had a list of complaints about the state of their property.
When they reached the living room, Cassie gestured at the ottoman with an open mouth. There were no visible scratches or a mess on the floor. Apparently, the couple forbids guests from moving furniture.
“You see this? This is, like, wobbly,” Cassie said about the standing lamp near the couch. Jon would later claim that the lightbulb was “pulled” out, with its cap stuck to the lamp. He also alleged that the lightbulb wouldn’t turn on.
“I know you guys are like, ‘Oh my gosh, it’s just an ottoman, whatever.’ It’s against the house rules to move furniture,” Jon insisted.
“A rule’s a rule. I don’t care if you guys think it’s nothing. It just shows there’s no respect for the house rules,” he continued.
Cassie was surprised when the guests didn’t take any of their snacks. Jon checked, and it seems that the guests also didn’t take the complimentary coffee. While there were no complaints there, the couple seemed shocked by the items left in the refrigerator.
“Woah, we got a lot of stuff,” Cassie expressed. In the fridge were a couple of styrofoam takeout boxes, a pack of fruit, a carton of eggs, two condiments, a French onion dip, and two Pepsi cans.
“We have to throw away their trash,” Cassie said as she opened one of the takeout boxes. She started coughing at the smell. But upon opening the freezer, the family had also left two ready-to-eat meals.
“Oh, it stinks! What did you open? It smells so bad,” Jon said, reacting as though he found a bloody carpet in the room. By the end of the house review, Cassie and Jon proceeded to rate their guests.
“Surprisingly, not that bad for them having some younger kids with them. We’re not really upset about the furniture being moved,” Jon said. However, he reiterated that there was a “lack of respect” for their house rules.
The video went viral on social media, with many TikTok users baffled by the couple’s reaction.
One commenter wrote, “You expecting it to be a museum?” Many social media commenters also argued that the rule implementation was excessive. Moreover, some have also raised that the family already paid for a cleaning fee.
Someone else said, “This is actually psychotic.” However, this is not the only video where Cassie and Jon have complained about their guests for seemingly trivial issues.
A TikTok user quipped, “What’s the oxygen fee?” Some TikTok users have even begun joking about avoiding the listing. Despite their criticisms, Cassie and Jon have kept the identities of their guests anonymous.
