Florida woman and bride-to-be books wedding venue tour at Four Seasons. Then a front desk worker kicks her out

Wedding planning can be daunting, but it can be especially tense when showing up for a tour that the venue—hotel or otherwise—apparently doesn’t remember approving. A social media content creator went to check out the Four Seasons hotel for her upcoming wedding date. Then she got pushed out of the hotel lobby.

TikToker Lindsey Taylor Krtausch (@lindseytaylorr), a Miami-based gym influencer, is planning a wedding for herself and her fiancé. So, she called Four Seasons and asked whether she could get a tour of the property. The front desk told her they could assist her and to drop by whenever. She actually went in and put that to the test, only to be disappointed.

Lindsey immediately noticed hostility as soon as she walked into the lobby. She made it to the front desk anyway, but she got “kicked out” before she could get a tour or even see the location. Her video describing the situation has over 20,0000 views, with the TikToker adding that the front desk was “rude” and “dismissive.” So, how should someone trying to book a wedding with the Four Seasons approach the situation? Are the Four Seasons staff rude enough to push away potential clients?

What happened at the Four Seasons?

Lindsey was less than enthusiastic about the Four Seasons hotel in her local area after visiting. She said in her video that “a gentleman at the front desk” pushed her away. Despite her call in advance, she was rejected swiftly. She also mentioned in her video that she called ahead of time, but wasn’t given a time or an appointment. Instead, someone at that very same front desk told her to come by for a tour.

Generally, hotels that are trying to accommodate weddings schedule an appointment to see a potential client. They’ll reserve a time where a wedding planner or others who specifically work on the wedding team can give a tour of the property and the amenities offered. In this case, it’s unclear why the hotel told Lindsey to come in at any time. When she eventually did, though, it didn’t seem as though there was anyone who was ready or available to accommodate her, leading to the rude interaction.

Other guests on TripAdvisor generally favor the location. There are some reviewers who have called staff rude or unempathetic to guest concerns, however.

Lindsey said she “wasn’t a fan of the lobby anyway,” but the interaction still seemingly frustrated her. She turned comments off on this particular post, but she went on to tour different venues in Miami. For her tour of a greenhouse venue, she shared a few details about her upcoming wedding planning. Her wedding planner was able to book her an appointment there, which made her search at least a bit easier after the Four Seasons debacle.

How to book a wedding at a Four Seasons Hotel

A tree-lined path, ample seating, and a grand ballroom await those who book a Miami wedding with the Four Seasons hotel. But, they have to figure out the best method to look into the venue and book first.

The wedding page does have a “contact us” section to get in touch. Those hoping to have a wedding at their venue simply need to fill out the form and wait for the next steps. Then, there’s a line that Lindsey presumably called that connects to the front desk. Anyone who calls the number on the wedding venue page automatically gets advice from there on how to proceed with a tour. Considering how Lindsey’s experience went, though, many brides-to-be may opt not to reach out that way.

There’s also an alternative. The Miami Four Seasons hotel has a The Knot page that lists the general manager, Yahaira Torres, as an additional way to reach out. There’s significantly more information about the venue as a whole there, with settings, venue service offerings, and general amenities given in a streamlined way.

@lindseytaylorr do better @Four Seasons Hotels | I don’t recommend at all, wasn’t a fan of the lobby anyway & then the customer service sent me out the door #fyp #weddingvenue #miami #weddingplanning ♬ original sound – Lindsey Taylor Krtausch
