‘I will be back’: Candace Owens loads up for her biggest attack on Donald Trump yet, after being called low IQ

This should be good.

Candace Owens is cutting her planned week off the air short to deliver a direct response to President Donald Trump following his latest aggressive post on Truth Social. The podcaster announced on X early April 11, 2026, that she will return to The Candace Show at 5:00 PM ET today to address the situation. She sarcastically framed the president’s recent comments as a glorious attack on his own sanity, setting the stage for what promises to be a tense confrontation.

This escalation stems from a lengthy screed on Truth Social, where Trump targeted several prominent conservative voices. According to Mediaite, he labeled Owens, Tucker Carlson, Megyn Kelly, and Alex Jones as nut jobs, losers, troublemakers, and individuals with low IQs. He went on to describe these figures as stupid people, claiming that they know it, their families know it, and everyone else knows it too.

The core of Trump’s frustration appears to be their public criticism of his foreign policy, particularly regarding the ongoing conflict involving Iran. The president explicitly alleged that these critics think it is wonderful for Iran, which he defined as the number one state sponsor of terror, to possess a nuclear weapon.

Trump did not stop at general insults but also directed specific grievances toward Owens

He took aim at her past commentary regarding the First Lady of France Bridget Macron, and noted his hope that the first lady wins a significant amount of money in the ongoing lawsuit against the podcaster. The president went as far as to compare the two women directly, stating that he views the first lady of France as a far more beautiful woman than Owens.

Owens did not hesitate to fire back at these remarks, taking to social media to share a screenshot of the president’s post with a biting caption that suggested it may be time to put Grandpa up in a home. This public spat marks a significant shift in the relationship between Owens and the president.

Owens was once a staunch supporter of his, even campaigning for him during the 2024 presidential election cycle. She previously spoke highly of his leadership following his initial exit from the Oval Office. However, the political landscape has shifted drastically since then.

Owens has expressed feelings of embarrassment regarding her past support, describing the president as a chronic disappointment during an appearance on Piers Morgan Uncensored in June 2025. According to The Hill, she noted at the time that she felt regret for encouraging people to vote for him, as she believes the current path of his administration was not what she anticipated.

Much of this friction is rooted in Trump’s decision to engage in the Israel-Iran conflict

Owens has been a vocal critic of the recent military strikes, which involved United States B-2 bombers targeting three of Iran’s nuclear facilities. She characterized these actions as a betrayal of America, arguing that the president expects citizens to die for Israel.

Owens has gone so far as to urge people not to join or remain in the United States military, claiming there is no honor in being led by dishonorable men to their deaths. She maintains that the strikes were not a decision made in the best interest of the United States, but rather a decision dictated by Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

The president has vehemently defended his position on the matter last year, dismissing claims from critics like Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard, who suggested that Iran was not close to obtaining nuclear weapon capabilities. He insisted that Iran was very close to having such weaponry and rejected assessments provided by his own intelligence officials, signaling a clear divide between his administration and those like Owens who oppose the current military trajectory.

Owens has been no stranger to controversy, which has often placed her at odds with various figures in the political sphere. Her history of promoting unconventional theories has previously drawn intense scrutiny, including her claims regarding the September 11 attacks and her persistent assertions about the first lady of France.

These stances have triggered significant outrage within various conservative circles, yet she has continued to double down on her views despite legal challenges and public backlash. As the clock ticks toward 5:00 PM ET, it is clear that Owens intends to use her platform to challenge the president’s characterization of her and other critics.

The upcoming broadcast of The Candace Show will likely serve as a pivotal moment in this ongoing public disagreement. You can expect her to address the personal insults, the policy disputes, and the broader implications of her break from the president’s inner circle. For those following the evolving dynamics of the American right, this exchange represents a major development in the shifting alliances of the current political era.
