Joy Behar unleashes savage attack on U.S. military forces in Iran
‘What have they accomplished?’

Joy Behar made a pretty wild claim on Wednesday’s episode of The View, suggesting that the US military’s operations in Iran had primarily served to push the “Epstein files off of the front page.” This comment came during a sharp clash with GOP guest Abby Huntsman, where Behar repeatedly questioned the accomplishments of the US military in Iran.
According to Fox News, Huntsman tried to defend the military’s efforts, stating that any deterrence of Iran, even for a year or ten, would be a win for the country. She emphasized that the military’s actions allow for conversations like those happening on the show. Huntsman also highlighted that wiping out the leadership of the Iranian regime was a significant achievement.
Behar wasn’t buying it, though. She brought up the point that former President Barack Obama had an existing deal in place with Iran that President Donald Trump had chosen to tear up. When Huntsman argued about wiping out Iran’s leadership, Behar shot back, asking if getting rid of “one Ayatollah” really changed anything when another “just as bad” was ready to step in.
Both Behar and Huntsman stood their ground on the show
Behar also got pretty defensive when Huntsman seemed to imply she was against the military, stating her father and uncles all fought in wars. Behar clarified her concern was with this “particular excursion” into Iran, demanding to know what had been accomplished.
Co-host Sunny Hostin also weighed in, expressing her own confusion about the military’s accomplishments and citing a lack of transparency from the Trump administration. It was at this point that Behar interjected, laughing, with her “Epstein files” comment, implying a cynical motive behind the operations.
The White House was quick to respond. White House spokesman Davis Ingle didn’t hold back, issuing a scathing statement. Ingle called Behar an “extremely unlikeable, talentless hack with a poorly rated TV show who clearly suffers from a severe case of Trump Derangement Syndrome.” He strongly defended Operation Epic Fury, calling it a “resounding success which is destroying the rogue Iranian regime’s national security threat to the American people.”
Ingle also highlighted that Iranian retaliatory attacks have dropped by 90% due to the Department of War destroying Iran’s ballistic missile capabilities. He wrapped up by saying Trump is working tirelessly every single day to ensure the American military continues to be the “greatest, most powerful fighting force in the world that will crush our enemies and defend our great Nation.”
This isn’t the first time Behar has voiced strong opinions about Trump. She has been a consistent critic of the president for a long time. Back in January, she even stated on Behind the Table that she wanted her legacy to be that she “helped get Trump out of office.”
