Nothing unites the internet faster than a bold accusation. Especially when it comes with a side of self-implication. One Florida woman tried to sound the alarm on spring break behavior in Fort Lauderdale, confidently declaring that if your partner went, they definitely cheated.

No nuance, no exceptions, just vibes. Unfortunately for her, the comments section wasted zero time flipping the script, accusing her of projecting so hard it practically came with a confession.

What Did She Say?

Kaia’s (@kaiarosee) clip grabbed the attention of 83,000 viewers with just 13 seconds. Her text overlay says only two words: “They’re gone,” and her clip begins with her laughing into the camera.

She then says, “Just letting y’all know, if you have a boyfriend or girlfriend and they went to Fort Lauderdale for spring break, your hoe got [expletive] by five black men.”

The clip cuts to another where she simply says the girlfriend will “never come back.” Her last words are, “You lost the battle.”

Why is Spring Break in Fort Lauderdale Notorious?

Kaia might have been talking about relationships, but a Spring Break spent in Fort Lauderdale means more than just cheating scandals. Every year, countless college students plan their two weeks off to be filled with crazy activities in Florida.

In 2024, The Minaret reported on Fort Lauderdale’s contribution to the outlandish activities and why every year, spring breakers keep coming back.

“Fort Lauderdale is known for being party-central,” they report. “What attracts the younger college crowds is its affordability; there are a variety of bars and clubs, and you can find cheap flights.”

They explain that this means the streets are overcrowded with college students day drinking and throwing parties. Of course, once drinking is involved, who knows what spring breakers with long-distance partners would do.

It got so crazy that in 2025, Miami police released two ads warning incoming spring breakers to behave appropriately or arrests could be made. They also dispatched more officers to the beach to enforce good behavior. However, The New York Post reported on a brawl that happened in Fort Lauderdale last week where spring breakers were celebrating St. Patrick’s Day.

Police officers were at the scene, but it is unclear whether any arrests had been made. Either way, it seems the unruly behavior usually associated with Fort Lauderdale in spring won’t dissipate any time soon.

‘Is this an autobiography?’

Seeing how specific Kaia was in her clip, viewers are quick to point the looking glass at her instead. A comment with over 500 likes says, “Damn speaking from experience huh?”

One says, “Is this an autobiography?” While another with over 800 likes says, “She’s telling her pov.” Others simply ask how she knows this information, implying that one can only say if it’s from experience. Kaia does not respond to these comments, but she has liked a few others.

Among them, one viewer seems to agree with Kaia and says, “No one wants to come back after that.” Another says, “How can you lose something that is never yours?”

She also likes some humorous comments, one of them saying, “Nah she coming back, she said her phone died.” Another jokes, “My wife said it was a business trip?”

Lastly, one viewer laments, “This is why I stay single.”
