It’s unclear what the publicist and PR professional did to land herself in the spotlight this particular week. But, It would be wise to assume that a lot of people have stumbled on the New York Magazine profile about Siegel from earlier this year. That piece paints the picture of a woman with access to some of the most elite members of society and mastery over story being of great use to Epstein. Those files are hard to read, but necessary to understand just how deep a lot of these conspiracies go.

In a long series of to the “[email protected]” account, Siegal would gather dirt and gossip on industry leaders across tech, entertainment, and industry. Dutifully, she reported back the latest happenings to the notorious pedophile on his island. Epstein would frequently send his plane to help get her to different locations at work. A sort of reward for both vicious gossip and less weighty conversation all the same. It’s harrowing to read them being so chatty while a ton of real harm was perpetuated.

New York Magazine pressed her for more details about the contour of the working relationship between Epstein and his favorite news source. All she could say was, “I don’t know what the definition of a real friendship is. It was transactional.” With those boundaries drawn, it’s easy to see how a man with so many resources became alluring to this particular woman. But, she was not alone! As evidenced by the laundry list of people named in those files, folks from all different world couldn’t resist the power emanating from the shores of that island.

Peggy Siegal & Jeffrey Epstein’s Relationship

Epstein’s correspondence is littered with racist, unsavory, and genuinely distressing rhetoric from different corners of the world. Siegal didn’t Mine throwing pithy little barbs into her emails. It made her sound more interesting, and thereby more useful to Epstein and his cohort. Currency is king, but information is very useful as well.

Siegel understood that her proximity to power gave her leverage in a lot of different social spaces. If there was a party that Epstein wanted to go to, all it took was a quick email off of his Blackberry to help set it up. Siegel played an instrumental role in that twisted concierge service. All of this provided he kept the flights coming.

This is the type of woman who puts, “If the Masai warriors don’t eat us, the pirates from Somalia willl…” and “Can I bring a little baby back for you… or two. Boys or girls? So Madonna.” in an email basically unprompted! Siegal and her ilk were openly flouting not only the rules of decency that govern us all, but the very real laws that govern basically every country on the planet. To plead for favorable treatment in the face of true evil like this is an abomination to be sure.

What to make of Siegal now?

After the New York profile on her time ostensibly working for Epstein,Siegal has claimed, much like in that article, that she’s been wronged in some way. The woman finds it unfair that she’s being held up in the light when so many of these men in America have escaped real, lasting consequences. It’s wild to hear the dissonance in her real words.

“Why does Peggy Siegal, who is 78 years old, who did nothing her entire life but work as a single woman, and make a success as a result, have to suffer so badly for this story, when heads of state and royalty and presidents have done far worse than I have?”

Unfortunately, (or perhaps not!), that’s what happens when you align yourself with the most prolific pedophile in world history. You don’t get to dictate terms on the backend. Largely, because you did so much enabling or looking the other way on the front end. It’s a strange world we live in, and
