Netflix’s New Dating Show Really Tests Age Gaps

Netflix is no stranger to different reality TV hits and Age of Attraction looks to climb to the heights of Love is Blind or Summer House. The streamers’ latest reality program focuses on age gaps between participants. Interestingly, Netflix bills all of the participants as coming from different walks of life. They’re all from 22 to 60 years old. Age of Attraction essentially asks if age is just a number. It also will probably make for some absolutely riveting messy TV in the meantime. If you’re wondering what to expect from this new reality show, we’ve got the information you need.
Nick Viall and Natalie Joy host Age of Attraction. They’re here to help these hopefuls find love in whatever shape it ends up taking. With people who are multiple decades younger than others, there is the possibility of some truly unique pairings. (Love is Blind uses the life experience difference quirk to its benefit all the time, so that totally tracks.) In the trailer for the series, one young woman wonders aloud, “I don’t know if these guys are my age, my dad’s age, or my grandpa’s age?” Something to stew on the entire show, for sure!
Age of Attraction doesn’t premiere until March 11, but the new clip that surfaced today is going to draw some eyeballs for sure. Hosts Viall and Joy are an example of what the show’s trying to accomplish successfully. (44 -years-old and 26-years-old specifically.) All of this is bizarre in most facets. And, the spotlight of
What’s the hook for this show?
Well, honestly it appears that Age of Attraction hinges on the fact that none of these people looking for love will ever be informed of how old the person they’re dating is. All real ages are kept under wraps until the very end for some dramatic reveal potential. This also complicates things for the people participating because, “What if age really didn’t matter?”
People’s preferences play a huge role in the dating sphere. The entire concept of a dating profile hinges on a list of desires that a person puts out there. If one of the core parts of that list is taken out of the equation, how do people handle it? That kind of juiciness is what these reality shows live in, and Age of Attraction is no different in that regard.
Who Hosts Age of Attraction?

Nicholas Viall was on The Bachelorette in 2014 and ended up coming in second place to Josh Murray in the competition for Andi Dorfman’s heart. (Jeez these shows are a lot!) Anyway, he also served as runner-up on that show in 2015. So, it’s no surprise that the podcaster and host is now a prominent voice in dating advice and reality show commentary.
He met his wife, Natalie Joy in 2020 before getting engaged in 2023. They were married in 2024. The Viall Files chronicles frank conversations about life and relationships for a ton of folks out there.
When does Age of Attraction release?
As is the case for a lot of Netflix shows now, Age of Attraction premieres on Wednesday March 11th. That will follow the first five episodes of the series. Then on Wednesday March 18th, episodes six 7 and 8 debut on the platform. Netflix is building to a big finale event on Wednesday March 25th.
