Jesse Watters spirals into a meltdown after learning that Mamdani appointed an all-women transition team

Republican supporters are having mental breakdowns over Zohran Mamdani’s win in the NYC mayoral elections. Ever since the results were announced, these people have been ranting nonstop about America’s supposed doom under a “radical communist” leader. The latest to publicly lose it over this is full-time Trump supporter and part-time Fox News host Jesse Watters.

In a recent episode of The Five on Fox News, Jesse Watters demonstrates that some individuals, particularly those leaning to the right like him, seem to be stuck in the eighties regarding their thinking. While mocking Zohran Mamdani’s victory, Watters criticised his coalition, pointing out that many of his supporters were not born in America and “were here now.” He argued that these individuals were mainly Black and Hispanic, as well as young people with “many” educational qualifications. He also claimed that most of them were “single” women struggling with the rising costs of their “small” apartments and utilities due to an influx of immigrants and the “green new deal.” In a truly misogynistic manner, Watters then offered his unsolicited advice on how these “single” women could have improved their circumstances, suggesting they had the “wrong degree.” He addressed these women directly, stating:

“You should have gotten a degree in, like, chemistry, biology, finance, or computer science. Something useful in this high-tech AI economy. No, you got a degree in, like, Southeast Asian feminist literature.”

Watters ensured he was showcasing all the problematic aspects of his character as he continued to express his grievances about Zohran Mamdani and his voter base. Regarding the former, Watters commented that Mamdani is “in the clubs” or “eating kebabs with the cabbies” while putting on a positive image for New Yorkers. He also asserted that Mamdani would be unable to deliver on his promises upon becoming mayor.

Jesse Watters made a fool out of himself by making xenophobic and misogynistic comments on The Five, and the internet made sure that he was being held accountable for it. One user on X (formerly Twitter), while discussing the incident, stated:

“Any woman, single or married, should tell you to go to hell. And this is polite. How dare you? Sexism has never been so blatant in a “TV” person. Journalist or anchor is not a word applicable to you.”

Another person said:

“He’s the dumbest, most openly bigoted host on Fox. He managed to blame every typical right-wing scapegoat while missing the biggest real reason: landlord greed.”

In other news, Zohran Mamdani announced the members of his transition team, all of whom are women. They include Lina Khan, Maria Torres-Springer, Melanie Hartzog, Grace Bonilla, and Elana Leopold.
