Man pursues Bachelor’s Degree with the dream of becoming a teacher. Then 2 professors snatch it all away. 13 years later, Dr. Taylor gets his revenge

A man felt that Southern Illinois University treated him unfairly while he attended the university. His revenge plot played out years later, and he has the receipts to prove it.

In a viral video with 144,100 views, user Dr. Taylor Andrew, PhD (@docdrstudios) shared details and screenshots of what transpired between him and the two educators.

“When you become THE canon event for the wrong person,” text overlaid on his video read.

In the clip, he called out the men by name and included their photo.

He first directed his attention to a professor he named.

“Of course, you probably don’t remember me, but I remember you,” he said.

Allegedly, the professor and school official from a school named Trevor Harris tried to derail his education at the university 13 years ago.

“And boys, it gets better, because not only did I not forget, but I have all of the documentation,” he continued.

What Did He Accuse The Professors Of?

Dr. Taylor Andrew and the men had a sordid history, and he claimed to have proof that they did him dirty.

He shared a screenshot of what appeared to be a signed evaluation with the two men’s names on it.

The Mary Sue reached out to Dr. Andrew and he claimed things took a bad turn after he missed a single day at his internship for personal reasons.

He then accused the pair of taking his “positive midterm evaluation” and claiming that he needed to improve by a specific day.

“And then you didn’t give me to that date,” he said. “Remember that?”

Though the man did eventually get the degree, he said the incident cost him the opportunity to teach traditionally.

How Did Dr. Andrew Get His Payback?

In the video, he also explained what happened since they allegedly conspired against their former student.

“What happened was I won,” he continued. “I got my degree.”

However, he claimed that the men’s actions impacted his career so significantly that they prevented him from teaching in a traditional classroom.

He tapped a lawyer, but decided not to proceed with legal action against the teachers to avoid being “blackballed” by higher learning institutions.

Nevertheless, Dr. Taylor Andrew overcame the hardship and secured not only a Master’s Degree but also eventually a Doctorate.

“Because while you two tried to end my educational journey before it ever got started,” he said. “As it turns out, it was just getting started.”

Can You Sue A College Or University?

Students may encounter situations at colleges or universities that make them wonder if they can pursue legal action against higher education institutions.

According to the LLF National Law Firm, anyone who has faced unfair or harmful treatment can pursue legal action against a school.

However, it is always recommended that students attempt to rectify the issue within the institution before pursuing legal action.

The most common reasons why students take action against schools include: discrimination, sexual harassment, child abuse, personal injuries, unfair disciplinary actions against a student, special education rights, and more.

In Dr. Taylor Andrew’s case, he sincerely believed he had a strong position to take legal action against the school.

First, he exhausted all of the remedies at the school to try to resolve what he experienced.

Then he tapped a lawyer.

Still, he eventually decided against taking legal action.

He figured the effort would not be worth the return. Especially because it would force him back into the same program and potentially leave him vulnerable to backlash from other institutions.

In the video’s comments section, many shared their own experiences with biased or unfair professors.

“YES!!! As a doctoral-prepared nurse who BRIEFLY taught as a professor let me affirm how crooked, biased & unhallowed the halls of academia are. I applaud ur long game! Now, GIVE EM HELL,” a user wrote.

Others congratulated the man for still moving forward and securing a higher education.

“You took the higher road!!!! And you let them think they got away with t!, FINISH THEM!!!!!!” another shared.
