All members of Heartsteel featuring Kayn, K'Sante, Aphelios, Yone, Sett, and Ezreal featured in Hearsteel, Riot Games first ever virtual boyband

All Heartsteel Members Explained

Heartsteel is stealing a lot of hearts (shameless pun intended). The champions making up this fictional boyband, hailing from all parts of Runeterra, have been around for a while, and most of them even excel in their dedicated lanes at League of Legends.

But their popularity is surging because of their debut in Riot Games’ first-ever virtual boyband, and fans couldn’t help but wonder more about these champions.

A lot of their lore can be read on the official League of Legends website, but these champions are coming to life and are expressing themselves on Twitter. There are other things you won’t know just by reading lore, such as their official collective fandom name. They’ve been interacting among themselves as a band, as well as responding to some fan tweets. But who’s in Heartsteel? Who are the voices behind these heartthrobs? Turns out, the people who voice them are also real musicians.

Aphelios

Voice: Not Applicable [Instrumentalist]
Star Sign: Pisces

Aphelios doesn’t talk much, and that’s great since he carries out assassinations. He’s also a powerful guy who is a conduit of the Moon, and he has a twin sister. In Heartsteel, he doesn’t sing and is still canonically silent. But he’s known to be the band’s main instrumentalist. How many instruments does he play? According to Riot, “so many instruments.” Just assume that it’s anything he can get his hands on. His twin sister, Alune, also exists in this universe, and he’s notably fond of her.

He’s also quite the prankster, and anybody would be able to tell once they look at Aphelios’ Discord icon. He’s so unserious that it’s hard not to love this funny guy.

Ezreal

Voice: Baekhyun
Star Sign: Sagittarius

Everybody who loves EXO was freaking out over Ezreal’s voice actor, but Ezreal himself is a golden boy with a lot of simps—or fans. It’s hard to tell the difference, and nobody could blame them. In canon lore, Ezreal is an explorer from Piltover who has great wits. As Heartsteel’s vocalist, he’s described to be more than just a “one-hit wonder.” He loves adorable fan art of himself and regularly interacts with fans. Judging from his bag’s contents, he also loves taking Instax photos.

Everybody lives together, and apparently, Ezreal is in charge of making sure their house is dust-free.

Kayn

Voice: Cal Scruby
Star Sign: Scorpio

It’s safe to say that at least Kayn wasn’t a child soldier in Heartsteel. His vibe is chaotic and he’s edgy in style, but he doesn’t have a complicated past behind him. Funnily enough, he still carries over the pseudonym “RHAAST,” which is canonically The Darkin Scythe’s name (his weapon). More than Ezreal, he just couldn’t stop talking to fans on Twitter and has, objectively, the most unhinged replies.

Riot Music also describes him as having “bark and bite,” and it’s evident with his sick beat and rhytmic verses. Seems that the group tries to gang up on him (lovingly) by giving him dishwashing duty for everybody’s plates.

K’Sante

Voice: Tobi Lou
Star Sign: Leo

K’Sante was a warrior in League of Legends, but in Hearsteel, he’s your above average gym bro. The fact that he could bench press Sett is enough said. Anybody could tell since he regularly gulps down protein shakes. This proud Leo is described by Riot as a man of high fashion, so you won’t see him walking around looking low-effort, even after he finishes his workouts.

Despite being so strong, he’s apparently the type of friend people go to for relationship advice. Given the contents of his bag, he’s also the type to scribble something magnificent out of his tablet.

Sett

Voice: ØZI
Star Sign: Aries

Another gym bro, if the selfie wasn’t enough proof, Sett goes above and beyond by carrying a bunch of weights in his everyday bag. He has an aversion to sleeves, and anybody who works that hard for biceps like his would be the same. It looks like the toughest guys in this band are notably sensible and soft, since Sett couldn’t live without his plushies. The knit hat he’s wearing on his official wallpaper was apparently knitted by his mom. It’s adorable, but it fits his vibe.

He also has a weak spot for adorable dogs, making it clear that this guy suffers from cuteness overload.

Yone

Voice: Not Applicable [Producer]
Star Sign: Taurus

Yone is probably the last brain cell holding the band together. It makes sense that he does everybody’s laundry, because who knows what would happen if anybody else handled it and mixed up the colored clothes in one bin. But they also claim that Yone is just as cool as he looks, and with the success that is “PARANOIA,” only a great producer could drop a single that good. He’s also “fueled by cold brew,” which is interesting for an undying character in canon lore.

If you’re curious about Heartsteel’s music, you can stream their first single, “PARANOIA.”
