Where Is Obi-Wan Pierogi Located?

These ARE the pierogis you're looking for.

Who among us doesn’t love nerd-inspired food? From Naruto Ramen Chowdown to these awesome treats on offer at Super Nintendo World, noms inspired by our favorite franchises are always entertaining and delicious. So naturally, when we heard about a restaurant called Obi-Wan Pierogi, we were curious. Obi-Wan Pierogi is a restaurant located in Kraków, Poland, that offers a variety of pierogis, aka filled dumplings made by wrapping unleavened dough around a savory or sweet filling and cooking in boiling water. Pierogis are then pan-fried and often served with sour cream and fried onions.

If Poland is too far to go for your pierogi fix, then fear not. We sense the presence of another, namely Obi-Wan Perogie, a food truck located in Grand Prairie, Alberta in Canada. The food truck serves pierogis and cabbage rolls and combos with names like The Han Solo, The Skywalker, and The Child.

While there’s still not an American equivalent of Obi-Wan Pierogi/Perogie, you can always find delicious pierogis at your local Polish restaurant. And there’s several Star Wars-themed bars and dining establishments, from the offerings at Disney’s Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge and bars like the Scum and Villainy Cantina in Hollywood, CA. No word yet on any pierogis on offer, but a padawan can dream. You can also make your own pierogis if you’re looking for a culinary challenge.

Have you tried either Obi-Wan Pierogi/Perogie? Let us know what you thought!
