Taron Egerton in Kingsman- The Golden Circle (2017)

Okay but Here’s What I Want out of Kingsman 3

Recommended Videos

A third installment to the Kingsman franchise? After a prequel film about the Kingsman themselves? Well, sign me up and let manners maketh men. The prequel, The Great Game, is going to hit theaters before we’ll see the final chapter of Harry Hart and Eggsy Unwin.

The cultural obsession with the Kingsman films is one that I know well. I came into the first one a bit later than most, but when I watched Kingsman: The Secret Service, I instantly understood the obsession. Brilliantly funny, action-packed, and a testament to the genre, the first film helped spawn our love for these characters.

If you’re like myself, you probably cried when Harry Hart (Colin Firth) died, but lucky for us all, Kingsman: The Golden Circle reunited Eggsy Unwin (Taron Egerton) with his mentor, and thus the Harry and Eggsy relationship could continue to grow. So, now that we’re getting a final installment to their story, what can that mean for the film?

Galahad, known as Harry Hart, is a name that Eggsy took over while Harry was gone, but now that they’re both back, who knows what will lie ahead for the Kingsman? After all, we know that Merlin sacrificed himself so that Harry and Eggsy could stop Poppy (Julianne Moore).

Poppy made the Golden Circle, ready to take over the world until the Kingsman put an end to it. With a movie packed with stars, Golden Circle was a fun time (despite reviews stating it was pretty much the same movie as The Secret Service). That being said, it didn’t look like we would get another movie in the franchise.

All I want out of the series is for Eggsy, who married Princess Tilde at the end of Golden Circle, to finally have the family that he never really got to have. Sure, he had his mother, but since his father died while in service to the Kingsman, he never had the full family experience he clearly desired.

Now, with Harry Hart as his father figure and Tilde as his wife, maybe the last chapter will continue to show us how Harry feels about Eggsy and this makeshift relationship they have formed with one another. To be honest, I’d love any kind of Kingsman movie that Disney wanted to give me, because it’s truly a brilliant look at the spy genre and who knew that Colin Firth could be an action star?

But now that Disney has purchased 20th Century Fox, there are two more movies on the docket, and we might still see more (we’ll have to see what the next Harry/Eggsy movie leaves for us). First, we’ll get Kingsman: The Great Game, but still, more Kingsman content? At least not everything in the world is a mess.
