Twitter hashtags are a game that only the best can play. So when the hashtag #DisneyTaughtMeThis trended, there was a wonderful mix of people truly understanding what these movies mean to us and also those making fun of Disney because … let’s face it, it is easy.

Some were obviously a little funny.

Being true to yourself is one thing but Disney and the princesses definitely told us it was okay to dramatically throw ourselves down.

But can men handle 7 women? (No, they can’t.)

Some of the tweets are heartwarming, truly embodying what these movies have the ability to give us all.

Because they do have lessons for kids.

And then there is this one.

Disney has a way of being funny while still reminding us that we can’t live in our past.

The lessons that some of the princesses can teach us are extremely valuable.

But there is also the knowledge that most every queen is evil…

And our parents, as weird as they are, are still our parents.

Even if, at the end of the day, Disney owns everything we love.

Because, at the end of the day, we’re all just trying to find that true love that these movies promised.

Or maybe not … maybe we just want to sell some papes.

Check out some more of the #DisneyTaughtMeThis hashtag and see just how much people love Disney and the movies!
