Stephen Colbert and Nick Kroll’s #PuberMe Raised $1,000,000 for Puerto Rico With a Final Lin-Manuel Miranda Video

You’ve likely seen a lot of awkward puberty photos recently on social media from famous celebrities with the hashtag #PuberMe. As part of a campaign started by Stephen Colbert and Nick Kroll on The Late Show, Colbert promised that Americone Dream Fund would donated $1,000 for every celebrity that participated (with Colbert being the judge of “celebrity”) to oneamericanappeal.org. Everyone from Henry Winkler to Seth Rogan participated, putting their young awkward selves on display for charity.

The total, the host revealed on his show yesterday, was $233K which then increased when Kroll and his colleagues from the new Netflix how Big Mouth added another $100K. Then, CBS’ Leslie Moonves matched Colbert’s donation and then Americone Dream added another $226K for the non-celebrities who participated, before Kroll threw in more for a whopping total of $999K. To make it an even one million, Lin-Manuel Miranda enters right in the nick of time and shares a perfectly awkward and appropriate teenage video. (Psst, apparently there are quite a few of these.)

Enjoy now, this montage of all the great #PuberMe contributions from beloved celebrities confirming that, yes, very few of us are immune or safe from the awkwardness of adolescence.

Miranda didn’t just come to share an amazing video of him as an awkward teenager singing a self-made song about how much he loves Puerto Rico, though. The Hamilton star also arrived to promote his song “Almost Like Praying” which includes Jennifer Lopez, Fat Joe, Camila Cabello, John Leguizamo, Rubén Blades, Marc Anthony, Gloria Estefan, and more!

The song just dropped to support Puerto Rico relief, with all proceeds going to donations for the Hispanic Federation. You can buy it here.
