Brighten up your morning, why don’t you?

This video of some young Chinese kids re-enacting the “Bring Honor to Us All” song sequence from Mulan is exactly what your morning needs. That may sound presumptuous, but let’s be honest, once you see the video for yourself, you’ll understand how right it is.

According to BoingBoing, the sequence here comes from a Chinese television show that has children re-create scenes from different movies. Judging by the video, they’re really hecking good at it, as there are so many little details here that really make it shine. The children themselves are quite something, and they definitely ham it up just like any other cartoon character—I dare you to try not to laugh a bit when the little girl playing Mulan’s grandmother shows up. She’s easily the best part of this video, I have to say.

As well, judging by the video’s outro, I have to wonder: did they recreate more scenes? Is there… gasp… an “I’ll Make a Man Out of You” sequence somewhere!?
