Lin-Manuel Miranda Teases More Tracks for Second Hamilton Mixtape

Working a lot harder.

The first Hamilton Mixtape only just dropped at the end of last week, but it seems like fans spent all weekend listening to it and are already prepared to move on to round two. Hamilton creator Lin-Manuel Miranda may not be ready to debut a sequel to the massive undertaking just yet, but he wants us to know it’s on the way—and that he already has plans for what should be on it.

With Hamilton sold out practically forever and prohibitively expensive, most fans’ only way to experience it is through the music—which isn’t so bad, considering it’s fantastic—so you can’t really blame them for wanting remixed versions of even more of the show’s numbers. Before the first Mixtape was even out, Miranda mentioned that there would be a “volume 2,” featuring songs that were missing, and in the early hours today, he confirmed a few more that were already in progress:

But Miranda is incredibly busy. You can head out to movie theaters right now to hear his contributions to Disney’s Moana, and he’s got the UK production of Hamilton and his own acting career to worry about. Basically, don’t expect the second mixtape to come along incredibly quickly, but it’s on the way. In the meantime, you can grab the first on your platform of choice or listen to it on Spotify. Just … try to make it last.
